It took about 2 weeks for the meds to work for my IBS
Did it improve the gurgling or just the pain
Yes, that’s fairly normal. Sometimes it just gets to that point. Anxiety will come and go, especially when you first try to get over it. You will have good days and bad days and then you’ll start to have more good than bad. It just takes time and work.
Thanks I see my doctor this week hopefully she will help me because j just want to get this situation sorted and hopefully get over this like you said and get better if u come across any other websites like the one about anxiety causing physical symptoms let me know it was useful

until your appointment, try not to worry. use the tools suggested by myself and others in this thread. just try and remember that worrying will do you no good and will not change the outcome so there's no reason to do it! let us know how your appointment goes!

Went today and she said that I’ve lost quite a bit of weight which I have because of the stress and says maybe because of that and to see how I go I’ve been better today I’m just trying not to get triggered it would be easier if I didn’t have the noises because that’s what triggers me off and they mainly happen in the morning and at night so I’m hoping they stop soon and I get better

ok... that info is pretty huge. if you've lost a bunch of weight it stands to reason you haven't been eating or haven't been eating enough. this alone can cause almost all of your issues... ESPECIALLY THE CRAZY NOISES!

the good news is you're not here telling us you're being rushed in for tons of testing which means your doctor isn't concerned about anything serious!!! the next step is ACCEPTING AND TRUSTING your doctor!

I’ve been given some tablets to try for anxiety and been told to stay on the tablets for ibs but I just feel like they are not doing anything like I still have that uncomfortable gurgling sensation in my stomach

Probably from lack of eating on top of the anxiety stomach. Have you seen a gastroenterologist? Maybe see if you need an antacid, and start eating!!! Feel better soon. I really feel this is all anxiety related, you've gone from one health extreme to the. Next without any diagnosis. Please go to therapy!!

can i ask why you're getting a scan?

all you need to know is that the stuff you describe isn't stomach cancer. knowing the symptoms only increase anxiety and you don't need that.

if you needed to see a gastroenterologist, you would have been referred to one. the fact that you weren't is a very good thing.

I'm not sure why your doctor is scanning your lungs when your concerns are stomach-related. is this because it was ordered to look at a different health anxiety concern you have/had?

it'll take some time for your body to correct itself. anxiety can be very hard on the body.

do you feel you still need that scan? if those symptoms have subsided, maybe think about canceling it? there's no need for unnecessary tests.

definitely follow through with testing if that's your doctor's suggestion but try not to let it worry you too much.

anxiety can definitely cause sleep troubles. mine cause the opposite... when I'm extremely anxious, my body goes in to "shut down mode" and I have a hard time even keeping my eyes open. try limiting your caffeine intake, especially after dinner. look in to supplements like melatonin. maybe even try meditating... and by all means... continue therapy. as your anxiety level decreases, your sleep issues should decrease as well.

Yeah it’s been better the anxiety I’ve just still dealing with the stomach issues I’ve felt so full of wind lately don’t know if that is to Do with anxiety or not but I got my ultrasound results done they checked my ovaries and bladder and they were fine hoping I start to get better soon

It can cause it because anxiety disrupts your normal digestive process. Your stomach is not working as it should because of the anxiety. When you’re anxious your body diverts energy from unimportant things like digestion and sends it to other things like your heart, muscles, and lungs. It’s a normal reaction to stress.
Woke up feeling bad again the noises are worse and have acid reflux too now I’m getting the thoughts again can anyone help i need reassurance

That is normal. When you have anxiety at the levels that you’ve been having it it doesn’t tend to just stop overnight. You will have times when it comes up again but, you know how to handle it. You know the things to do to calm down, and most of all you know that everything is ok. You’ve had your tests and everything was perfect, trust the results and the doctors.

I would recommend continuing with the calming exercises even if you don’t feel anxious. By doing them regularly it will help to prevent future episodes of anxiety. You’re ok, you’ve got this!

You have to think a little deeper. First of all, when that sudden fear strikes you, tell yourself that you’re not going to think about it right now. Then put your mind on something else. Then set aside 10 minutes a day where you do allow yourself to think about it. Let yourself worry, let yourself rationalize, whatever you need to do. Then, after the 10 minutes stop thinking about it and any time the thought starts to pop up just tell yourself that you’re not going to think about it right now.

Now, let’s examine. You just had a scan and all was clear, right? Your doctor says everything is fine, right? You are young and have no risk factors, right? So you have to use those to think logically. I know your mind expects the worst case scenario but what is more likely? Those are things to think about during your 10 minute worry session each day. Try not to think about any of it unless you’re in that 10 minute window.

I guess my biggest fears keep bouncing around from ovarian cancer to bowl cancer to stomach cancer they are what I am afraid of i just worry that something might be wrong and then it might be too late so I get stressed and triggered
