I’m scared I might have stomach cancer because I saw the symptoms for and just really my stomach won’t stop making noise constantly making noises and full of gas I’m so scared because I just want to get better
you did it again. i addressed your anxiety and nothing else but your response is 100% about cancer and 0% about anxiety.

you need to speak to a parent, partner or close friend and address your anxiety asap.

in addition to this, you need to STOP RESEARCHING CANCER, YOUR SYMPTOMS OR ANYTHING HEALTH RELATED ON THE INTERNET. if you can't do that, there's nothing anyone can do or say that'll help you. it sounds harsh but it's the truth.

You’re doing it again. I completely understand how scary the pain is, I understand how real the thought of cancer feels, I get that it has absorbed you. You seem to spend most of your time worrying about this, I have been there.

It’s time to take your life back. I want you to stop looking up stomach cancer symptoms online. I want you to stop trying to convince yourself that it is or isn’t cancer. I want you to forget about cancer. What I want you to do is to go to google and type in “anxiety symptoms” and I can guarantee that every single sensation you’ve felt will be on the list. Stomach problems and back/neck pain are two of the most common symptoms of this disorder.

Again, what’s happening is that the anxiety is causing you pain, you think about the pain and become anxious about it, that, in turn causes more pain. This is called the anxiety cycle. It feeds itself on your fear and since it causes fear it has the ability to take over your life which is what has happened to you. You have got to do the things mentioned in this thread, postpone the worry, meditate, all of these things. Even if they don’t seem to be working keep doing them, they will eventually become very effective. They take practice and your body will take time to see the reduction in anxiety but you have to do these things daily, multiple times a day. I promise you, if you do them the worry and the pain will go away.

Please just don’t give up hope, this is a temporary situation and you will be back to you before you know it.
I know it’s just I’m not worried about just the pain I’m worried about the constant noises how can anxiety cause that? I really hope you are right I just my life back to normal

It can cause it because anxiety disrupts your normal digestive process. Your stomach is not working as it should because of the anxiety. When you’re anxious your body diverts energy from unimportant things like digestion and sends it to other things like your heart, muscles, and lungs. It’s a normal reaction to stress.

Just try to relax and not think about it. It will take time to get back to normal.

Ok will it get better if the anxiety goes and do you think muscle relaxers would help
Yes, it will get better. Muscle relaxers may help, they should take away any tension but they won’t do anything for the anxiety.

It’s just the constant noises and movement of my stomach that don’t like would they help with that or just the pain

I can’t say for sure if it will or not. The main thing that’s going to help is being calm. Just work on that, try to not think about the stomach things, just stay calm and try to think of something else.

Can I ask why anxiety makes the stomach upset? And do you that’s what is wrong with me

i know this was directed at chillphil1, but anxiety can cause all sorts of stomach issues. I'd guess it's one of the most common physical symptoms of anxiety. when my anxiety gets extremely high, i start having crazy stomach issues... from cramping to gurgling to nausea to things we don't need to discuss in a public forum. none of us are doctors so we can't medically explain why it happens, but it does happen and it happens to quite a few of us.

I have IBS because of my anxiety. Try taking some over the counter acid reducer and see if that helps.

Ok thanks I just panicked because I was having the pain for about two weeks and just a few days ago the gurgling started so I freaked out as you know and now the gurgling won’t go away how long did it has for you and what helped it

Help help someone on here just messaged me saying it might be stomach cancer oh gosh I don’t want to have that I don’t want to die help me help
Ok, calm down. You are ok. Take some breaths and calm yourself. It seems like someone is on here taking advantage of people, that is the most horrible thing I’ve ever seen.

Please, report whoever that was to the moderators so that their account can be deleted.

I’m sorry that someone did that but you are ok. Someone saying something like that does not make it any more true than it was yesterday or the day before. Nothing has changed. Keep doing what you’ve been doing, just keep on the calming exercises, the breathing, the reassurance, the worry postponement. Everything is going to be ok.

If things get too out of hand go to the emergency room, they can give you something to calm the anxiety and they may be able to go ahead and do the ultrasound. Once you have those results you’ll know that everything is ok.

someone on here sent you a private message telling you that it might be stomach cancer? whoever did that should be reported to a moderator. that behavior, even if done with good intentions, is highly irresponsible and reckless. one of the worst things in the world for a person with HA in the midst of panic is another person with HA also prone to being irrational and panicky. DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT PERSON. WHAT THEY SAID IS UNFOUNDED UNLESS THEY'RE A DOCTOR AND HAVE TREATED YOU PERSONALLY. Whoever sent you that message really should be ashamed of themselves.

YOU DON'T HAVE STOMACH CANCER. YOU'RE TOO YOUNG, YOU'RE NOT IN A HIGH-RISK CATEGORY, YOU'VE BEEN CLEARED BY YOUR DOCTOR VIA LABS AND A PHYSICAL EXAM and YOU'RE SYMPTOMS DON'T EVEN FIT (OR CAN BE LINKED TO THINGS LIKE YOU'RE ANXIETY WHICH IS CLEARLY OUT OF CONTROL.)

Yes, that’s fairly normal. Sometimes it just gets to that point. Anxiety will come and go, especially when you first try to get over it. You will have good days and bad days and then you’ll start to have more good than bad. It just takes time and work.
