I guess my biggest fears keep bouncing around from ovarian cancer to bowl cancer to stomach cancer they are what I am afraid of i just worry that something might be wrong and then it might be too late so I get stressed and triggered
I understand that but you just had tests done. You are perfectly fine. You just have to learn to accept the results. It isn’t easy and takes time but you can do it.

How do you stop to worry time after ten minutes what if you can’t stop the thoughts

That’s the hard part. You just have to keep telling yourself that you are done worrying that you will worry about it again the next day. It gets easier with time. You’ll probably also find that after a few days of doing it you don’t feel like you even need to bother with the worry time anymore.

That is normal. When you have anxiety at the levels that you’ve been having it it doesn’t tend to just stop overnight. You will have times when it comes up again but, you know how to handle it. You know the things to do to calm down, and most of all you know that everything is ok. You’ve had your tests and everything was perfect, trust the results and the doctors.
YES! i was afraid i had MS for a year because they found a spot on an MRI and that's how long i had to wait for the follow-up scan. when i got the news that there were no new spots and i DIDN'T have MS, i was anxiety free... FOR ABOUT 24 HOURS... then my brain started going nuts again. this happens because our brains don't know what to do WITHOUT anxiety. this is when being able to calm and redirect yourself becomes very important!!!

I would recommend continuing with the calming exercises even if you don’t feel anxious. By doing them regularly it will help to prevent future episodes of anxiety. You’re ok, you’ve got this!
ANOTHER YES! it's way easier to deal with anxiety before it starts!

but NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOU! repeat that to yourself as many times as you need to until you're calm! you had an ultrasound that came back normal. your labs, normal. your physical exam, normal. you probably have better odds of getting hit by lightning than you do of having a deadly disease growing inside of you right now.

Thanks must have been hard worrying about it for that long I guess I just got worried because the noises are getting louder and harder to ignore and would it even show up on the ultrasound if they only checked the ovaries

Usually just be in a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. You shouldn’t have yourself terrified but just give the worry a few minutes to be heard, otherwise it can overtake all of your thoughts. I generally use my time to rationalize why my fears don’t make sense. I don’t just sit there and dwell on it until I’m afraid. I usually reassure myself during that time and then try not to think about it at all the rest of the day.

it was horrible and guess what? IT WASN'T WORTH IT. LIKE, AT ALL. even if they DID find another spot and i actually HAD MS, that worrying was an absolute, miserable waste of time. all i would have done was wasted the last official MS-free year of my life worrying instead of getting out there and actually enjoying my life.

i can almost guarantee judging by how anxious-sounding your posts are still, that your anxiety is still through the roof which can cause all of your stomach issues... and you're also probably not eating enough because of anxiety.

When you reassurance yourself do you just over and over you don’t have it or do you listen to the horrible thoughts

I’ve tried to start eating more and if you don’t mind me asking how did you overcome the anxiety like did it take long and if the anxiety goes how quickly do you think stomach problems would resolve themselves

Generally I will think of what it is that I’m afraid of and then I will just list reasons why it doesn’t make sense to be afraid of it. I “debunk” the thoughts.

The same way, you just need to stop the worry by telling yourself that you aren’t thinking about it right now. Do that as many times as you need to. Then when you have your 10 minute worry time then you can allow yourself to think about it. As I mentioned for me, I just go through the reasons why it’s not likely. For you, you’ve have tests and you’re clear, the doctor isn’t worried, you’re young, those are all reasons why something like that doesn’t make sense. You can use those.

Ok do you think it’s best to avoid the news and stuff that could trigger and the one thing that keeps playing on my is that apperatly the only you can test for it is an endoscopy which I haven’t had so that’s the thought that I can’t shake when doing the worry time

Yeah, it may be best to avoid it for a little while. I know that my recent issues did get triggered by the news so I have been avoiding reading the news which I used to do daily. I also tried not to watch the local news at night but my wife watches it every day. As I’m starting to feel a bit better I notice that the local news doesn’t trigger me like it did so I’ve been watching it again. I still haven’t gone back to reading the news but I feel like I probably could. You’ll know when you can handle it again but for now, yes avoiding triggers is probably a good thing until you can get your anxiety level back down.

It’s just when they first talked about it they were concerned about the radiation so I’m confused is it Not safe for someone young or?
No, it just does use more radiation than an x ray but it’s still within acceptable levels and isn’t dangerous. I’ve had several in my life and it’s never been an issue at all.

Yep, the only difference is that you go into the machine rather than just moving the camera over you. It takes a little longer as well but it’s really no big thing.
Ok thanks was just concerned as never had one before only ever had xrays can you eat or drink before
