Is it Normal to just feel down is that something common with health anxiety
Yes, you spend all your time afraid and it drains your energy and motivation. It really becomes an issue of falling into depression if it goes on for a while. That is why I believe that your doctor should start you on some sort of anti depressant. They help with the anxiety and the depressed feelings. I don’t know why they haven’t done that already.

Edit: I’m not sure of your age but that may be why they aren’t putting you on medication like that. Sometimes with teens and younger adults they try to avoid them if possible. That said, it may still be a good idea for you.

Oh right that makes sense and that is the Age bracket I fall into actually so probably why they don’t want to they gave me some meds for anxiety but how long would it normally take for them to kick in and I’ve started to try and eat better but my stomach is still sore and full of wind along with the noises

Depending on what medication they’ve given you. Something like a benzodiazepine takes minutes to start working but those are only to be used in cases of very bad anxiety and they are not for long term use. With something like an anti depressant those can take up to 8 weeks to work but some effects can be felt in as little as 2. They do tend to have start up side effects that can make things really bad for the first couple of weeks and in some cases doctors will prescribe the benzodiazepines mentioned above for a short time to help get through the worst parts or possibly even something like a beta blocker for short term, as needed use. Best to talk to your doctor about all of this, just be sure to tell them how bad the anxiety really is for you.

The ones I got given were given to me because they had very little side effects as I didn’t get on with the other ones

They r called Escitalopram

Those r the new one
Yep, that’s the ones I’m on. The first few days up to a couple of weeks may be rough. Your anxiety will probably increase but stick with it. After the second week it really makes a difference. Those should be taken every day around the same time. Be patient with them, they will help.

It increases just because your body is going through changes. These medications cause there to be more serotonin in your brain which can be stimulating. As the body adjust anxiety is very normal as well as some other side effects, nausea, fatigue, things like that. It shouldn’t last long. I know for me those side effects started around the 4th day and lasted until the 12th day. It was rough but one day they just stopped and I’ve felt much better since.

Quick question... where are your parents during all of this? Are they making these appointments for you?

Yeah they just agree with the doctors because they are not sure I’m in pain still and I’m really concerned
do they know about your health anxiety? do they know you have been researching diseases on the internet? if not, i think it's very important to have an honest conversation with them about exactly how you're feeling.

this is just a thought, but maybe it would be a good idea to allow your parents to read this thread. it might give them a better idea of how you're feeling... and maybe some of the responses from us could help them help you. i really think this is 100% anxiety and you're at such an extreme level that you can't calm yourself down without some sort of adult intervention.
