why? anxiety, stress, poor diet, not eating enough, ibs (caused by stress and anxiety...)

at this point, what are you even worried about? you don't have bowel cancer because of all the reasons stated. you don't have an obstruction for all the reasons stated. what's left?
I’ve not got diarrhoea so that’s not great why can’t I catch a break
so you mean you now have diarrhea? if so, that's very, very, very common with anxiety.

please try to take the time and energy you spend focusing on disease and put it towards your anxiety.

I’m trying not to think about the noises and panicked but it’s hard because it startles me

remember in that podcast where he talks about not entertaining the thoughts? not letting the cart leave the station? that's what you need to do. when your stomach makes crazy noises, you need to tell yourself you're fine and it's just your anxiety. if you start to worry about disease, stop. tell yourself you're not gonna worry about it and get busy.

at the end of the day though, nothing is going to help you as long as you continue to believe this is anything other than anxiety.

here's some very real talk: i think we're on page 11 now. this thread has several thousand views and 205 comments. the average thread has, MAYBE, one or two hundred views and MAYBE ten comments (some don't get any.) even with all the extra eyes and all of that reassurance, you are still worried about this. sometimes it even seems like you're more worried now than your were when this started. don't you think that may be a sign that you've derailed a little bit?

I think it is part Of the anxiety and sometimes I can stop the thoughts immediately but sometimes it catches me off guard is it then after you have had to thought too late to correct it and is there Any other tips you especially with sleeping

it's never too late. if you catch your brain starting to go there, stop then and there.

if you're having trouble sleeping on top of everything else, it's no wonder your body isn't working the way it should. if you're drinking caffeine, stop (it's bad for anxiety, can cause both constipation and diarrhea), consider taking on over the counter supplement like melatonin.

Ok it’s honestly just noises bothering me now and I don’t drink caffeine how long do you think it could take for my body to be back to normal because I’ve lost weight and my bowls just feel weird (that’s where the noises are coming from)

well... to the best of my knowledge, noises have never killed anyone and from my recollection, i don't recall ever seeing that as a symptom of anything serious so why does it matter?

really, there's no way to tell. in that podcast, the host said it took him weeks... and that was AFTER he got his anxiety in check.

Ok and I meant the noises make my stomach feel uncomfortable and wake me up at night which is why I can’t sleep

You’ve got to stop. We KNOW it isn’t cancerous. The tests were good, the doctors aren’t concerned. This is not cancer or a blockage. Anxiety has disrupted your digestive system for weeks now, you have to get the anxiety to stop and then give it a little time for your body to get back to normal function. Neither of those will happen overnight but if you keep thinking on cancer and other things it will not get better. You have to take your mind to a better place and stop hanging up on the scary stuff.

Only way you can test for the cancer is an Endoscopy which I haven’t had yet it’s fustrating because I thought I was doing better yesterday and no I’m scared again

Just keep your mind off of it. That’s really all you can do. Cancer would have far more symptoms than just stomach noises. You do not have cancer, you have to convince yourself of that.

Yeah but with the stomach cramps and toilet issue as well that why I’m concerned it’s especially hard trying to get to sleep and not think about

It’s starting to turn into a popping noise

Can I just ask how long it took again for the tablets to work for you

I mean the tablets for anxiety apparently I heard that people with asthma can’t have beta blockers

some more very real talk: you need to discuss more aggressive mental health treatment with your doctor, your parents or whoever you trust. you are trapped in this cycle and are clearly unable to stop it yourself. it really doesn't seem that any amount of reassurance, reasoning, etc has been beneficial to you... AT ALL.

i will guarantee you that even on the day you thought your anxiety was better, it was still extremely high. i mean... now you're developing new symptoms because you're still THAT anxious (and even though you won't believe me, that's why you've got "new" symptoms...) so it's no wonder you're still not feeling better. you absolutely WILL NOT START TO FEEL BETTER UNTIL YOU CAN GAIN CONTROL OF YOUR ANXIETY which you're not even close to being able to do right now. even then, it could take a few weeks for your body to get back to normal, but you've already been told that countless times in this very thread. you didn't get THIS anxious overnight. you're not going to get better overnight, either.

i know it might seem like i'm coming down hard on you, but i'd be doing you a huge disservice if i enabled the reassurance cycle without calling out your level of anxiety and the damage you're doing to yourself mentally AND physically. many people have given you some very excellent advice, provided you with lots of reasonable and logical explanations for what you're experiencing, you've received links to articles, podcasts and other online resources and still your anxiety seems to be, like, 8-10/10. still, you focus on your symptoms and the thought that you have a disease and almost always mention anxiety like it's an afterthought. don't you feel like whatever it is you're doing (or not doing) to get better isn't working? maybe you're sorta just spinning your wheels in the muddy pit of anxiety?

Yeah I talked to my therapist again I don’t really understand much about anxiety as I’ve only recently been diagnosed with mental health issues she talked to me more in depth about it and I’ve downloaded an that helps with it and I’ve started to get better control over the panic attacks these last few days or I’ve at least tried it’s hard but I want to put the effort in to get better I’m seeing my doctor again this week sorry if I’ve been a pain I appreciate the help I guess sometimes I panic I come on here a write down exactly how I’m feeling in that moment it feels good to do that and get it off my chest but maybe that’s not the best idea I’ve started eating better though and I’ve tried distracting myself more I guess I just need to learn more about anxiety and maybe that will help but thanks to everyone that has helped sorry to a burden hopefully things will get better soon

You have not been a pain or a burden. We all know what you’re going through. I was just as bad, if not worse when I first went through this. Even my wife started to get frustrated with me. We are happy to help but we don’t want to build bad habits (seeking reassurance) for you because that isn’t going to help anything. We’ve given you techniques, we’ve told you what you should and shouldn’t look for on google, we’ve even given advice about what you need to tell your doctors. From here you just have to put all of that into practice. I know that you still feel everything, it won’t go away overnight. The thing is that now you really have to bring yourself to believe that you are not sick or dying. You have to believe that it’s anxiety and work to treat that while not worrying about physical problems. Coming here to ask if you’re ok again and again isn’t going to help if you can’t convince yourself.
