Update got my results nothing serious wrong thankfully just really constipatied so they said hopefully symptoms that could be triggering ibs should thank you so much for all the advice you have all given me hopefully things can get better now
great news! hopefully this gives you the reassurance you need to move past this. this would be a great time to step up the therapy and really get on top of your anxiety so things to don't spiral like this again.

Yeah that’s what I’m trying to do just saw that you said diet doesn’t effect ibs so what would help improve it?

Yeah did you have any more tips the constipation is realily bad like only small hard pellets are coming out and it’s been like this every time I go even after I’ve cleared myself out

LOTS of water... high fiber foods... a fiber supplement like metamucil. stay away from foods that cause constipation, too.

I can absolutely relate. I spent months with severe health anxiety. It started with chest pain and just went from there. By the time it was over I had believed at one point that I had every disease and disorder known to man. I had a weird pain in the upper part of my stomach and for months I thought it was my pancreas, headaches meant brain tumors, back pain was kidney failure, etc. it went on and on to the point that even if I wasn’t actively thinking about it I still felt the anxiety 24/7. That’s how I learned that being anxious causes the symptoms and then the symptoms make you more anxious. Once you’re in that cycle it’s very hard to get out. The only thing you can do is calm yourself down, if you give your mind and body a break from the anxiety gradually it will lessen and the symptoms will lessen with it.

I’m glad to hear that you’ll be seeing a therapist, just be completely honest with them, don’t hold back. Whatever they tell you, even if it seems stupid or pointless just listen to them. I know that I have done some strange things that were suggested to me but they helped.
I do the same thing. My fears move from body part to body part. I zone in on one and convince myself that I have cancer there. You’re right about the cycle being hard to get out of. You start making yourself have symptoms.

Saw my doctor and they said on the scan that my colon is full of poo and I’m still constipated does that mean I have a fecal impaction like I still have the same symptoms

I'd say that if your doctor didn't specifically say you were impacted, you aren't. it just sounds like you're really constipated.

Right would it be bad to keep on using the laxatives they gave me don’t want to end relying on them

Yeah I know it’s just I’m concerned that they have stopped working now

That’s why I was asking about the fecal impaction like could it be that kind of thing
if that's what it was, they would have told you. keep taking the meds they gave you and follow a high fiber diet or whatever they suggested. otherwise, treat your anxiety because that's not doing your stomach any favors.

Yeah I’ve increased the fibre and my anxiety is better just trying to keep it at bay just got confused what they meant by that

no, but if you need to strain a lot, you need to try to increase you water and fiber intake.

just because you've increasing your intake doesn't mean you're getting enough. there also be other things in your diet that are causing issues. things like anxiety can cause constipation too.
