a few weeks? where are you located? in the states, it usually takes a week to ten days, but yes... if they find something they will definitely contact you sooner. you really don't have much to worry about, though!
I’m in the uk the thing is im Worried because besides my stomach problems I’ve also had an issue where I’d take a deep breath it’s makes a weird loud noise from under my left rib cage it’s been like that for two weeks could that be something to with my lungs I’m scared don’t want to be anything serious
CTs and MRIs are absolutely safe and you have nothing to worry about. if they weren't, they wouldn't be done - certainly with the regularity they are now.
Like the noise sounds kind of crackly and watery it’s when breathing in should I worry because the ct didn’t scan that area and I won’t be allowed another scan

No see that’s what I did think it could be but doubt it besides iit’s only on one side comes and goes

Just kind of scared about it might being fluid in the lungs should I mention it to the doctor I’ve recorded the noise

I had many of your symptoms. I didn't read all your posts, but my symptoms were caused by acid reflux. I never knew this can cause lung symptoms, but it can.
I'm not giving medical advice, but - Dr. said to take Prilosec, sleep with a wedge pillow & don't eat or drink 4 hrs before bed. All symptoms were gone in a week.

Thanks I do have tablets I take for that would they help for it? And can you tell me more about a wedge pillow like the best position and didn’t realise it was bad to drink for reflux that late as I sometimes get thirsty in the night I guess the noise is the Main thing bothering mainly on the left side and can even it

Wedge pillow elevates the upper body to reduce the chance of stomach contents getting into the lungs.
My lungs were constantly congested & were hard to clear by coughing. I could hear & feel the congestion when breathing. I never would have thought that reflux could cause this - but it did.
Years later, I no longer take antacid, but still use wedge pillow & don't eat or drink 4 hrs before bed. And, my symptoms never returned.

Hard to describe a noise in words. However, I could say that your description would be consistent with my symptom. I can easily see one lung being more affected than the other if the reflux flow isn't symmetrical - like if you sleep on or favor one side.

Ok but would the tablets I’m already on not have helped or? And so you think it’s more reflux than fluid in lungs? Is there a better position to sleep in I tend to move a lot in my sleep

Reflux caused my lung congestion/fluid. The key is to prevent stomach contents leakage into the esophagus/trachea at night. Any leakage irritates the lungs & causes congestion/fluid.
Not sure what tablets you are taking. If they neutralize stomach acid, it's not the same as Prilosec which reduces acid production.
In my case, Prilosec+wedge pillow+not eating/drinking before bed fixed my lung issues. I can't say if one of these worked better than the others. All three were easy to do & worked for me.

I’ve been given lansoprazole so woul that not help I was just concerned that it may be fluid you know something serious with my lungs as I’ve also had some pain there too don’t know if you have I do have a recording of the noise which I would put up here but not sure how to but would that be a good idea to show the doctor

My Dr listened to my lungs/symptoms & diagnosed reflux right away. Some weeks before, I saw his assistant who prescribed inhalers - which didn't fix the problem.
If you see a doctor, it will be much better than anything the internet can do for you. I know internet advice is easy & free, but you get what you pay for.

Update I went to the doctor and she thinks the noise could be to do with my bowls not sure why I’m feeling it there but since then whenever I’ve gone to the toilet to pass a stool it feels like part of it is getting stuck I was scared maybe it might be an impacted stool? How would I know this for sure

are these results from your scan or did you have another doctor's appointment?

if you had impacted stool, you'd likely be in a great deal of pain. you could just be constipated.

a few things... your diet may not be as fine as you think it is (most people don't consume nearly enough fiber and are chronically dehydrated.) also, ibs of the constipation variety doesn't really care about your diet. it can cause problems no matter how well you eat.
