The issue on Twitter is posts like this

“Yes. People should be physically restrained and forced the jab. Then they should be put in prison for 5 years for refusing to comply with COVID guidelines and refusing a mandated inoculation.”

on forums people keep arguing how I should be banned from ever going a holiday if I refuse the vaccine

Load of rubbish. The vaccine they are using here in Ireland can not be even given to people over 70. So people under 70 are been offered the vaccine first. From day 1 they were talking about protecting the elderly. Here we are with a vaccine that elderly people are not allowed to take.

Let us be clear. Nobody can hold you down and force something on you. You have rights. Of all the vaccines out there none of them are fool proof. Meaning none of them work 100%. it is not like they can give anybody a vaccine and tell them they are now immune to Covid. Because none of the vaccines are that good. The only reduce the risk of you getting a very bad dose of Covid.

Until they come up with one that makes us all immune to Covid all these silly things people come out with are just that. Silly. They mean nothing at all. All just words.

I worry about catching COVID aswell as the consequence of being banned from travel or pubs. I can’t win. Some people say this will settle down and become like flu. Some people say this is the new normal? What do you believe? I want to live my old life but fear that won’t happen. It causes me lots of anxiety I worry I may never get to live a normal life? Going to a gig? A holiday can it ever come backs without a vaccine? I heard Isle of Man only vaccinating those at risk I wonder if Europe is the same or if everybody is getting it?

Is hard to know what the future does hold. A lot will depend on a vaccine. Not like the ones we have at the moment. A better vaccine. Not going to lie to you. The quickest vaccine ever made took 5 years. That was for Ebola. What we have now are rushed vaccines. They are not a cure for anything at all. I would liken them to the flu jab. And until a cure is found, we may have to live as we are doing. Getting this vaccine every year. That is about the truth of it. Only way anything will change is if a real vaccine comes along that puts a stops to the virus.

How many people will be in that sick bracket in a few months time? Is the sick who are dying. The elderly too. Other people can say what they want to say. But I think those who have died had underlying conditions or were old. We hear an odd story of a fit and healthy person dying. But we never hear much more about that story. Any doctors or nurses who have died were overexposed to the virus. That is not a good thing with a virus like this one. You spend too much time around those who have it, you will end up in a bad way. Some knew that and took the risk as it was part of their job. Credit to them all.

So far we are allowed to refuse the vax. We got them at my workplace, but my cubicle neighbor refused.

If you watch the end of this video he says vaccine passports would be discriminatory so hope that rules it out but I don’t think he can stop other counties making it a vaccine to enter?

'No plans' to introduce vaccine passport
Nadhim Zahawi says phase one of the vaccination programme remains the government’s “focus” - targeting nine priority groups - which is what “it will deliver as rapidly as possible by May”.
However, he says for phase two it will go back to the the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) to determine whether frontline workers should then be prioritised for vaccines.
He also says the government is not looking at introducing vaccine passports for several reasons – vaccines are not mandated in the UK, it is not known what impact vaccines have on transmission and it would be “discriminatory”.
“Of course you have the evidence that you have been vaccinated held by your GP and if other countries require you to show proof that is up to those countries," he says.
"We have no plan of introducing a vaccine passport."

That’s latest info

Do you have any advice for me about friends who have judged me? I mailed one to ask how they were and got into COVID and they were annoyed if I don’t take this vaccine. That’s the problem people think you are some sort of awful person if you refuse it. I blame the government as they are making it like you need this vaccine or you can’t ever have a normal life?

And seemingly they Oxford one isn’t any good on the South African variant so another jab coming so I would need another jab if I got this one.

Of friends, they all have their own opinions. People are all mixed up with views over this whole virus. You have your views and they have their views. If they can back their views up with facts, then so be it. Most can't do that. they will tell you loads of things and have nothing to back it up. Because they are been sheep following what most people are saying out there. Just tell them that you beg to differ on this one. Leave it at that.

As for the vaccines? They made it for one strain. Then along came another 3 strains. If was any good to begin with it would work on all strains. The fact it won't work on some strains shows it was a rushed vaccine.

They can legally demand I take the vaccine which worries me about my job as I work in retail.

Still a long way off that day. No idea when shops will open fully again. Life returning to something as near to normal. Can't see it happening for some time. All this talk of who will need to take the vaccine is not worth anything. Until a vaccine that actually gets rid of the virus comes along.

Good news is I found a solicitor after messaging about 50 over past few months. They have a direct page up regarding COVID vaccines in work place and my rights. They deal in employment law and are willing to fight the case. However I have to wait to see my company’s stance. It could mean being suspended and a long time before reinstatement however there is a good case as for example religion is covered under reasons for not having the vaccine and many others. I believe they will be of great help.

The same sort of thing appeared on a page linked to Ireland this morning. I said it would be challenged in courts. As it is not a law. I would not worry about it. As it is not a law it would be illegal to fire anybody over not taken the vaccine.

If I refuse the vaccine I am terrified I won’t be able to work or travel anywhere in the world and life is doomed. I am worried this will affect my mental health. Do you think it may just be an issue for a few years or in 20 years will we be banning people who can’t have a COVID vaccine?
Also I wonder if my chronic anxiety will be enough of an exemption for this vaccine?

My local bbc scotland has been putting stories up about 8 bus drivers who got COVID and the hospital near me seeing a surge in cases. One guy is 35 not much older than me and they say they see more people 30’s and 40’s in ICU how worried do I need to be?
