Mandated jabs in Austria. Wonder how they will force people fines? Jail? Pinning them down to vaccinate them? I see some UK news channels asking the question what we would do here one asked if the doctor would feel comfortable forcing the jab on someone who doesn’t want it?
The punishment is 4 weeks in jail a large fine so looks like jail time for some if they do it here?

Why is the talk about avoiding vaccines and not about what a miracle they are? If you get Covid then you are a vector for the virus. Getting the vaccine is about the greater good.

If you didn’t get the vaccine and became ill, wouldn’t you go to the hospital for treatment? That choice affects others. People have had to put off non Covid treatments because hospitals are so full.

Austria is only going into full lockdown on Monday. Nothing about making people take the vaccine. The lockdown will be a new law. So you have to avoid doing what they tell you to avoid doing. Or you can be arrested. Germany might do the same too. Nobody, in any country, can make you put anything into your body that you don't want. That would be against your human / civil rights.

The vaccine is mandated in Austria as of today

A choice. You want to go out take the vaccine. You accept sitting in, don't take the vaccine. That is how it is in Austria. The country has a low uptake of the vaccine. The lockdown is only for 10 days. But can be extended. As was said above it does come into effect until next year with the vaccine.

Germany going to mandate the vaccines. Sweeping Europe now I wonder how they would mandate it here in Uk do we have the prison capacity in Scotland?
And seemingly 7 new mega prisons being built

Any thoughts on what’s going on worldwide and here? Would he interested to see what Cuchculan thinks. In Austria they are locking down unvaccinated one minister was on tv suggesting they pin people down to inject them. Germany to follow suit locking down. How far will they go? Probably Wales and Scotland will push more as in England there is more push back. Seems these vaccines are almost mandated I know most here said I should take vaccine that’s ok but they also said I should have a free choice? Is my choice really going to be removed here too? I know they are talking about a ban on pubs cinemas restaurants ect in Scotland maybe more venues bingo halls maybe. I notice the covid oral vaccine and the single jab J&J have gone quiet now they are pushing these third boosters for pretty much all in 2022. Thing is even if I took the jab once or twice bad enough but it’s not long lasting. 5 months to be exact so I wonder what we can do? It seems like world war times when people got forced to war or the extreme Spanish flu rules we had on masks. So what next?
What you can do is get a little jab in your arm once every six months or get tested regularly or not go to restaurants/travel abroad. It's a lot like be forced to go and fight and die in a war, so I understand your trepidation.

You should probably start doing pushups now.

Travellers tests scrapped soon that’s good news for all travellers. England may be land of the free whilst Europe goes crazy. Operation ramp down sees all testing cost from March and the quarantine and isolation test trance all scrapped. I think this is good news as we learn to live with covid. No doubt many pro vaccine mask pro lockdown will disagree here but anything that takes us back to normal is good news.

You know what would help take us back to normal? Getting the vaccine.

Back to normal was all you ever wanted. You never wanted to be told about anything else. Never wanted to hear anything else. So now you are happy. Amazing what one news article can do. When thousands of other news articles were ignored by you because they were not what you wanted to hear.

I notice they are saying the EU vaccine passport idea you need a booster every 9 months. So I wonder if I can ever travel again? They make this the new normal passports to enter restaurants too? I think most can understand whilst the pandemic is on but they seem to want to rewrite international law? I read the WHO wants mandated vaccines too

Don’t you want back to normal? It’s good news about testing dropped but they are still demanding vaccines to enter the EU

What "international law" would that be breaking, pray tell?

Unless you happen to have a second passport of the country you are trying to enter, they do not have to grant you entry and can refuse you for any reason under the sun.

You may have only travelled in countries before where you do not require a Visa and where you do not get questioned so much due ro your British passport, so perhaps you would be surprised by the amount of documentation - far exceeding Proof of vaccine - that is required to enter some countries, or that is required of those with a far weaker passport to enter the UK, even.

Not sure but if people need boosters it would encourage more to stay here. I think Spain said early in pandemic no passports as they need our custom. I totally understand Yellow fever for some countries but if it became a booster for every country I am sure it would actually discourage travel rather than encourage. Even if people took a booster they may slip a year or two going abroad. I am hoping the policy is unworkable.

I cant see it being workable long term, but I cant blame them for it at the moment.

Let me put it this way - have you seen some parts of the continent at the moment? Because they are in the middle of a fourth wave and some places are back in lockdowns again this winter, with the deaths that the surge is causing and the economic damage another lockdown will bring. So those countries are now trying to balance tourism and not having another surge.

Yes it’s bad in Europe they say Uk could exit pandemic first due to natural immunity and lower cases. I wish I could see an end to it but many people say 2022 will be better. They say covid becomes endemic not quite sure what that will mean I assume stuff will settle down maybe.

Theres a lot of unknowns. Now it could be our strategy was the right one, is the way out (accept it is endemic), we will see in the next few months. For now our numbers are stable rather than spiking, will have to see if that continues this winter or not.

Only makes sense if the numbers are low in the UK for now, they would not want tourists. Ones they had no idea about at all. Who could bring a new wave of the virus with them. The same will go for all other countries in the future when numbers begin to drop. They will want to be sure you have not got Covid before letting you in their country.
