Must be the only person out there looking forward to that. I personally would not wish it on anybody. Vaccinated or unvaccinated.
Why would I want a variant to develop that makes immunization irrelevant? The sarcasm in my post was not subtle.

That's me all the way. I was social distancing long before this virus was known, let alone causing a pandemic. I rarely travel, and when I do I drive myself. If some places want to "discriminate" against me for it, oh well, they won't get my business. It doesn't hurt my feelings at all.

As far as masks go, I've never felt some type of way about wearing one. When it was required where I live, I was wearing one while out and about. Now it's optional (supposedly "if you aren't vaccinated you have to wear it", but how can they actually enforce that?) but I still wear one depending on where I'm going. If I'm running into a small store that's never busy, I don't wear one. If I'm in Walmart there's a good chance I'm wearing a mask. The mask mandate doesn't bother me, I can get things done with or without it.
I dislike crowds…always have so social distancing is not a problem for me. Still go to the store at odd times to avoid crowds and when I am in crowds…I stay far back. Attending an event soon and will go out of my way to avoid being stuck in tight crowds and tiny spaces. Even I am indifferent on masking, I will wear it at the event and have been still wearing in stores and stuff because I am unvaccinated. I probably wouldn’t bother if I was vaxxed.

I have a tiny bit of apphrension about going to this event but it is outdoors and like I said, I will try hard to avoid the biggest crowds. Honestly, more nervous about being in crowds for reasons other than Covid. Not very trusting of anyone or anything these days.

Is anyone besides me afraid of taking the shot? I keep thinking I’ll be the one in 1 million that will get a blood clot from it or something worse.
Your far more likely to get blood clots if you catch COVID that’s one of the ways this virus kills!

Yep. I also keep a close eye on myself, and if I have "could-be" symptoms I stay home and see how things go. If it passes during the same day it's almost certainly allergies or similar.

That's also very much like myself, same reasons

I was against getting the vaccine for a while until some family members got Covid and were hospitalized and someone I knew recently died from it - same age as me with no medical issues. I decided to get it and get the second one in a couple weeks. At some point I guess I have to believe the researchers and scientists and doctors etc know more about it than I do. If not, well that's how it goes I guess. As for the masks, I could care a less really what other people want to do, but if unvaccinated people go around without masks in public then that potentially puts others at risk, and that really ticks me off! If you don't want to wear a mask or get a vaccine then don't go around people who can't get the vaccine for some medical reason. That's my 2 cents - not that it matters lol.

I'm not taking that shot... I'd rather wait this one out... I've heard all kinds of stories about people's left side of their face no longer moving... and a ton of other problems... We don't know the long term side effects cause this shot just came out... I'm not going to be a lab rat for the govt

Be a lab rat for Covid then, the disease with potential long term effects on your kidneys and heart.

Be a lab rat for Covid or on the other hand be a lab rat for the vaccines. Either way everybody is a lab rat.

One of them has proven side effects that are common and very damaging, kills millions of people, and can cause you to become a vector to get other people sick and possibly kill them. The other has no known long term side effects, has killed very few people, and has a comparatively miniscule chance of eliciting bad reactions, most of which are very treatable. Saying that you're a lab rat either way is a false equivalence.

So we know all the side effects of all the vaccines? Why are there numbers to ring up in you have side effects not on their list? Say 100 people ring up and report something new, it is then added as a side effect. Which shows they only know some of the side effects. Not them all. They would not have any known long term side effects as of yet. Because the long term will not be upon us for a few years. These were quickly put together. They would not have had time to see any long term side effects. More short term side effects which they listed. Except the blood clots which they forgot to mention. We will see in time if there are any long term side effects. Too early to tell. Vaccine would have had to be made a few years ago to see any long term side effects.

I wrote "there are no known long term side effects." That does not mean "there are no side effects", that means so far there aren't any that we're aware of. Compared to Covid, where there definitely are dire long term effects.

Potion A is definitely poison. Potion B may have poison, but it's very unlikely. Which will you drink?

Antivaxxers: "Potion A please! Who knows what Potion B is? Mmmmm, poison!"
