So where do I start, ive been feeling the itches of anxiety for a few months now increases of adrenaline heart going crazy etc but just palmed it off as nothing being a usual guy. However 3 weeks ago my partner of 10 years who I have 3 children with came onto me as she has done hundreds of times before and out of nowhere I was struck with the worst anxiety panic attack I've ever felt my body literally felt like it was on fire and I closed down and every day since then has been a huge struggle daily hourly anxiety attacks sweating. I have gone to the doctors and I was given diazepam for immediate effect btw they didn't work may be different for some and also I'm on citalopram 20mg I just don't understand why my partner coming onto me was a trigger for it and the thought sends me into a frenzy.Has anyone else ever gone through this? it's seriously affected my relationship I just can't get my head round why I felt panic around the one person i shouldn't also is anybody else on the citalopram if so do they work and when should I start feeling better I'm on my 3rd week of them if your wondering why I'm on my 3rd week and this happened 3 weeks ago is because it scared me so much I went to the doctors the day after the initial attack
