We all have a long list of anxiety symptoms that we constantly worry about and even think is unique to us. Which one is at the top of your list that scares you the most and what do you fear it may be (if it wasn't anxiety)?

Mine is the random feeling in my head that feels like a sudden jolt or sometimes zapping. It even makes me feel wobbly sometimes like the ground is moving and things can go out of focus for a second. I always fear that it's a blood clot freeing up in my head and that I'm about to get a stroke.

Anyone else get that one? What's yours?

I worry about most symptoms inc racing heart, chest pains, headaches, fatigued, dizzy, aches in my body, the worst I would say is my heart and head with my heart I feel I’m going to take a heart attack and with my head I get worried I have a tumour or blood clot, the past week I’ve had pressure headaches and like stabbing pains in my head

I would get those stabbing pains too probably couple of months ago. Knock on wood, they’ve gone away!

The pressure headaches are up there for me too. I never had headaches in my life until 3 years ago, even with12 years of anxiety under my belt. So they really scare me (tumor, blood clot, high blood pressure, etc), especially when they last for days or weeks.

Worst part is that sometimes I'll go see a specialist for some of the symptoms and by the time I get to the appointment, they're gone and I barely remember why I even went to the Dr to begin with and the symptoms become more difficult to describe.

Breathing or derealization/ disassociation
Yup. I generally feel like my life is a movie I'm watching and I feel that time is going by so fast that the end will come faster and sooner than I want--and the damn anxiety doesn't let me enjoy the moments. I'm always thinking about the past or the future, I'm rarely in the moment.

Exactly. I would say probably on a very good day, I am 50% in the moment and 50% in my head. And a regular day is 80% in my head and 20% in the moment. I just want to enjoy life again!

Sounds harmless, IMO. Probably not caused by anxiety, but equally harmless.

What? The jolt or zap sensation in your head? Those are brain zaps and they're quite common, especially with anxiety. Some medications can cause them as well.

As for your legs feeling numb, belly hurting and ears feeling full - I doubt those are connected in any way. Anxiety has a way of making connections that don't actually exist.

Numb legs is very much an anxiety symptom. This was my main symptom during a panic attack and was awlful. Felt like my legs were not going to work and i had to keep walking and walking to make sure i still could.

Yes, feeling weak during a panic attack sucks. I've had many attacks like that. Whether it's my legs or my arms or both.

My whole body is twitching. I'm scared because ALS twitches. :((((
twitching in terms of ALS has a very specific medical presentation. please read this. hopefully it'll put your mind at ease.

IS MY TWITCHING RELATED TO ALS? (PROBABLY NOT)

as for the topic at hand - it really depends on what disease/condition i think i have at the time. currently, i'm dealing with a lingering cough (1+ year, worse over the last 6 months) that hasn't responded to an increase in reflux meds or a steroid burst. that combined with constant (like, for a year) left-sided sinus congestion has been challenging my calming techniques lately. my blood oxygen levels have been good and my lungs sound alright so the doc doesn't think it's lung/gastro-related. now i'm being shipped back to ENT. those symptoms have let a lot of intrusive thoughts in the back door.
