You use F and we use C. Confuses me at times. Here it was about 6C. Nights can be touching on 1 below or worse. All about dressing for the weather. You still see people out in t-shirts. Made of stronger stuff than me or just crazy people.

Later tonight I'm going to listen to some modern dance music on the radio. It is Saturday night here, after all.

Funeral Mass this morning. Elderly neighbour. Friends with the family. Church wasn't even half full. So could relax during the Mass. Then back home and worked a good bit on a jigsaw. Now some you tube time.

I'm sorry about the loss of your neighbor, Cuchculan.

Today I've been at home due to snowy weather all day. But I'm doing good.

Cheers. She was old and sick. Was an infection that finally got her. None of us are getting any younger. More just wanted to be there for the family. Got me out of the house too. Irish funeral means a lot of talking and catching up with old faces.

Today started bright and early with my kooky daughter dragging me out of bed to take her to school early. I'm glad she likes high school so much - all previous grades too - it certainly wasn't my bag. My wife is out of town presenting at a conference, and she works near my daughter's school so she usually takes her. On the way I phoned into the first meeting of the day, which I was just at so my boss would have some support if he needed it. Normally we don't meet that early, but we were conferencing with a site in Lithuania. Anyway, it got me into work earlier which was kind of nice. I had time to take care of some routine chores before meeting preps. The project managers had some kind of training going on in all the conference rooms during the time when my mediation group usually meets which was a bit of a bummer. My final meeting was with another team scattered across the world, a couple cities in California and a manufacturing plant in Singapore. Most of the participants are super new to the topic, so I was unexpectedly the most prepared and got to talk a lot. Picked my daughter up at the train station and beat rush hour traffic by having a passenger in the carpool lane. My son (5th grader) was working on homework when we got home, which is a good sign. He has ADHD and dyslexia/dysgraphia, so school doesn't come easy for him. I took him to his martial arts class, then headed home and made dinner. Walked the dog, and now I'm catching up with you fine folks. Bed momentarily, as I'm pretty sure my daughter has her clock set for O-dark-thirty again tomorrow.

I was busy with a number of things this morning.

However, I got that all done. So for the rest of the day, I can make comments here as well as on other online forums.

Yesterday was a day in the garden. Not my idea. Leafs all over the place. Rather than rake them up I took the mower out and used that to pick them up. Then it was back in to work on my jigsaw. Lot of it are the same bloody coulours. That is the part that is taken the most amount of time. We will get there in the end.

This evening I noticed there was 1 piece missing from the Jigsaw. Obvious piece. How bloody annoying. Risk when you buy in charity shops. Even crawled along the floor of the room making sure I did not drop it. Desperation. LOL. If I had hair I would be pulling it out.

I'm somewhat worn out right now because I helped my parents bring in some new furniture for their living room. We got it done about an hour ago. But I'm happy that we got it over with.

Weather is very cold here. I went to the gym, did light house work and now going to make lunch. I am looking forward to reading a good novel tonight.

I am going to post a picture of my near finished jigsaw. Days to make it and end up with 1 missing piece. The joys of life. I will say at least it gave me something to do. Still annoying though. Tomorrow it will be back to reading. Knowing my bloody luck there will be 1 page missing in the book I am reading. LOL

Just finished putting in a good couple hours on a software project (side project) for a friend. Now it's 2am, so maybe I'll go to bed.

Today I got up before dawn with my wife and daughter and traveled 60 miles to a lacrosse tournament for my daughter's club. It rained constantly, with some good wind gusts too. She would play for an hour, wait for an hour, then play another game. Her team lost all 3, but she had a great time. Winning is fun, but the pure joy of just competing and working hard, and doing skills that you're good at make it worth it even when your team doesn't win. We were done in early afternoon and found a burger place for lunch. My wife had a peanut butter burger and insisted it was delicious. Since she is not an adventurous eater at all, I'm inclined to believe her, but it wouldn't have been the first thing I'd think of as a burger condiment. We were soaked through from the wind and rain, so the drive back was kind of soggy and uncomfortable. It was nice to change into dry things once we got home. I worked on CBT exercises, am checking in here, and soon I'll do a brief journal entry and head to bed.

In the middle of a weather warning here. This is something they only started doing a few years back. Certain colours to warn of the weather. Not that most Irish people listen to them. For the reason that for so many years we never had weather warnings. It was either going to be a bad day or a good day. That was it for years. Now we are under a yellow weather warning. That can be wind up to 100mph. You could hear it all night. Is calm out there at the moment. Though is meant to get worse later in the day. We shall just wait and see what it is like. Lord knows they have gotten it wrong on so many occasions. Predicted a hurricane once for Ireland. As a rule we never get such things. That morning people were out doing their garden. The weather was beautiful. How on earth could they get it so wrong? Turned out to be a sunny day. No wind or rain at all. So we tend to just wake up and have a look out and what we see is the weather for the day.

I haven't done much today so far. But later on I'm going to watch the New England Patriots face the Kansas City Chiefs.

Rain stopped play. Did a fair bit of cleaning. Upstairs of the house. Then read me a few chapters in a book I am reading. Followed that up with some music. Then I like to watch an episode of something I downloaded. Before I mess about the net for a few hours.
