Went to a library to do volunteer work. It was eventless and went well.

My supervisors there really appreciate my work, which helps make it worthwhile for me.

No big surprise that it was raining in Ireland. The mother had got her bedroom painted and decorated and they had to take down the curtains. So this morning I had put them back up. Had to allow the paint to dry over the past 2 days. Two windows each with a set of curtains. Little plastic hooks attaché to the back of the curtains and then you loop them onto rings on the curtain rails. Boring job to have to do. Later in the day I was just adding some music to an MP3 player and taking some other music off it. Do that every so often. Next time I am out I will listen to what I just put on and see is it good walking music. Funny how you want to find these things out. Some bands / singers don't make for good walking music. That is just what I think. So I remove them and try some more music.

Was time to shave the head today. Get rid of all those grey hairs. :p Mind you I did leave the beard. Wet day as per usual out there. Bit of grooming to pass an hour away. Then I read for another hour. Now it is nearing music time.

Today I walked around my neighborhood for physical health reasons. Then I did some chores around the house that needed to be done.

Just a thread were you can tell us all the things that you done any given day of the week. We all suffer from anxiety, depression and other forms of Lord knows what else. So leaving that aside in this thread, maybe share one of two things you done during your day.

At the moment I am building a model of Wembley Stadium. That can take a few hours of my day up. But also picked up another model of another football stadium for when I finish the current one. Weather is not great in Ireland at the minute. Is getting colder and who knows when the rain will show up. But I always like to try and get a walk in. Just to stretch the legs. Not the most exciting day in the World. But I am sure other days will hold other things.

So what about your day?
Ireland! Just visited in Sept. wonderful place. Love the small town pubs. Visited one in Abbyleix with my surname as its name. Will be back :)

Today was great. I slept in, which means I'm getting back to my regular sleep patterns. I made breakfast for the family (bacon, hash browns, and scrambled eggs a la Gordon Ramsay). I took my motorcycle to the shop (not so great, its going to cost $1250 for its 35,000 mi service), then took my son to get our hair cut. Watched Jim Harbaugh stalking around on Michigan's sideline on the TV while we waited. Came home, and alternated between cooking dinner and playing Minecraft with my 11yr old. Called my mom, my dad, and one of my brothers, planning for Thanksgiving. Dinner was Tri-tip roast, baked potatoes, and fresh bread from frozen dough. Took my dog for a walk, and read bedtime stories.

It can be a grand old place. Once you get used to the rain. Should have taken in a Gaeluc football match. The All Ireland final does be in September. Talking 80,000 people in Croke Park. With Dublin dominating the game. 5 All Ireland titles in a row. No team has ever managed that before. Great been from Dublin. Just to be in Croke Park with that many people is an experience in itself. Of course the rules of the game a tourist would find very hard to understand. And the whole idea that the players don't get paid to play. It is all about pride of wearing the jersey of your County. So next visit try and take in the Croke Park experience.

We saw many local signs supporting the town football teams. We’ll get to one next time!

Probably no surprise to hear it is raining here. Rains in between showers in this Country. :p I did get out for a while. Most of the day spent reading. Bit of music as well.

San Francisco has the Gaelic Athletic Association which governs hurling and football. They play on Treasure Island, which is actually an artificial fill added to Yerba Buena island for the 1939 World Fair. It later became a Navy base for WWII, and has since been returned to civilian use. I've seen them practice football, but haven't been there to catch a game.

The game would look odd to anybody who has never had the rules explained to them. The scoring system. Over the bar for 1 point. In the net for a goal. But 1 goal = 3 points. You score 3 goals and the other team score 9 points, the scores are level. Plus the amount of steps you are allowed to take. Only so many before you have to bounce the ball or solo it ( Kick it a bit in the air and catch it again ). Two bounces only. Hand pass or kick the ball to your team mate. No picking the ball off the ground. Has to be scooped up using your foot. The fights in the games can be amazing. Even before the game begins it can all kick off. 30 players all going at it.

Small video for you to watch. Just remember that these players don't get paid to play the game.

Any roads. Yesterday was a day of fog here. We live right on the coast. So it can sweep in from the sea. Just stayed in and done a lot of reading. Then my Niece called down. Bit of company for a while. She is picking me up a jigsaw folder. You do the jigsaw in the folder. Can zip it up and pit it away for the night and continue the next day. Looking forward to getting that. Start doing some normal jigsaws. Which I intend to frame. Can buy a spray you put on them that keeps them together. All about learning.

I like it! Hurling looks like spirit kin to my game, Lacrosse.

Nice long walk today. Ended up buying 9 jigsaws. That should keep me going for a while. Done a bit of reading too. The Niece called in again come the evening time. She had been picking something up for me. Bit big to walk home with. So her and her car came in handy. She does home help for elderly people and does be in with a neighbour of ours. Come down here first and call in. Leave her car outside our house. I shall end this night with a joke for any readers of this post. Enjoy.

Yesterday was abother wash out here as far as the weather went. Few card games on the computer. Lot of jigsaw making. Saw no point in going out at all.

Today I went grocery shopping.

It's great that the local grocery store has plenty of parking, as they have a large parking lot.

I dislike crowded parking lots.

You're a New England sports fan, no (?)

What I did today was go to a local library this morning.

What I didn't do was go out for a walk around my neighborhood because it's too cold outside. And I don't blame myself.
