That’s great to hear! Maybe we are fighting this! yes I’ve had dogs before, they are lovely creatures. We need to be settled first so we can offer a good home. I’m sure a dog would be very happy in our family! Also want to wait till my littlest is at least 2.

Just walked 6 miles up and down that hill again, confirmed to my brain that there can't be anything wrong with me! Knackered now! Lol dog loved it though. I had a black lab when my kids were little. She was brilliant with them. We lived in Hampshire then, in Farnborough

You stay on top of it Kate. I had a wobble earlier, had pain on my left side and all the fears just charged in. Dealt with it though. Thought of all the conversations, tests, medical professionals who I'd spoken to and it is easing dramatically. Glad your enjoying your movies/snacks day
Hi USA! I know it's a crazy thought but I never had anxiety until I quit smoking!!
Ty anthony..hi back. How to account for anxiety after quitting? Maybe at that point you began caring about your health and that's why.

Yes, possibly. It would make sense. Quite a few things happened in a very short space of time as well. How on earth I haven't started smoking again is beyond me!!

No way! I lived in Camberley when I first moved south from Yorkshire. Both my kids were born in Frimley Park hospital. Very small world indeed! That's great, good for you. I love walking. I sometimes feel I could just keep going. In a good way of course. Just love being outside!

Yes I love walking, I’ve just sunk into a hole for a few weeks and let things get on top of me. I know it will make me feel better so it’s silly to have not bothered. But it is what it is and I had to do what I needed at the time. Back to it tomos!

Wow, getting smaller by the minute! Lol That's absolutely right. My previous dog was too old to do long walks for probably the last 18 months of his life, so I couldn't do it. We do what we have to, when have to, your so right. The dog I have now is only 4 so she can come in and 5 minutes later she's ready to go again!!

Yes we do! Oh I can’t wait to go dog walking! Feeling very positive about this group CBT. Got the letter and had a read through leaflet, looks good. I think if you’re really willing to throw yourself into it, it’s got to work! Medication is not for me, it makes me feel awful. I guess I just wanted a quick fix but wow they made me feel horrible. I’m glad tho as if it had worked I may have not researched all the natural ways & had to wean myself off meds eventually. What doesn’t kill u makes u stronger and all that!

Absolutely!! You sound very chipper today, good to hear! Yes, I think if you commit to it and follow the strategies it has to work!!

I've been fine today up until about 4pm. In it came, breathing funny, little chest flutter, the works. No idea why, fighting it though, just about staying ahead of complete panic! Had a great day as well, very disappointing

Oh no bless u! What makes u feel better? Can you go for a walk with dog? Call that number? Anything to try help you keep ahead of it! Weird actually Cos I was feeling fine till about 5 & now it’s creeping. I am so tired today tho so maybe why. God it’s so annoying!

I'm taking dog out now, just keeping ahead of it at the mo. Will call them if it starts to win!! I find it soooo frustrating. I just don't know where it came from. Really does get my goat! Thanks for your support, hope you can keep yours under wraps

Hope it helps clear your head! It is so frustrating, after feeling quite good all day to just meh! I’m giving in and going up to bed with the iPad. Little one was up last night a lot so I think I may just be exhausted today. 2 more sleeps till CBT. I can make it till then

Hi, how did cbt go? Had mine last night, felt great afterwards, woke up feeling crap today. Got me as soon as I opened my eyes! Sat here trying to get on top of it now

Morning! Oh bless u, mornings are usually hard for me too. I find deep breathing helps me calm the racing heart/sweats. What’s bothering you?
So yes I went along, after my car playing up, me taking a wrong turning and having to go to next junction and all the way back on myself, then a broken down van causing traffic, couldn’t find parking but yes I finally got there #stressed
I found it very informative but I’ve kind of already researched everything they were saying and been trying to practice a lot of it. A new thing for me was the muscle relaxing exercise so I’m going to start doing this. I also realised that I’m a very passive person because of my anxiety. Always have been. So I’ve just emailed about some well being classes. Self esteem and assertiveness. I think I will still need to talk to someone after the 4 weeks as I do have some underlying issues. I also called the Samaritans yesterday as I was feeling quite overwhelmed, wish I had done it weeks ago. It actually felt amazing to just talk about everything that’s bothering me, if your ever really struggling I deffo recommend calling them.
What have you taken from the first session? Are there things you have learnt that can help you?

Woke up with a small pain in my abdomen. Where your chest meets your stomach. Nothing major but is now a possible heart problem! Just walked my dog round the local playing field. My rational brain says "nowt wrong, you couldn't have done that if it was serious" my non rational brain saying "ooh, it's building up, gna get bad". It's all crap. Hope it passes soon! Glad you got a lot out of cbt after your adventure getting there. My cbt meet was more about what we were going to do over the next 5 weeks and what to expect. Just reassuring that you are not on your own

I can’t imagine having anxiety that Is health related. Something must have triggered this for you, I hope you can get to the bottom of it. The mind is a powerful thing, it plays tricks on you BUT you can learn to control it. I know you feel awful right now but remember it’s going to pass and you will be ok. Don’t be afraid to call that number, this is exactly what they are for.
I woke up panicking this morning, I don’t know why it happens. I had a good nights sleep and went to bed without using my calm app easily! My dreams are crazy lately aswell, just very strange with strange places and people lol! Don’t think I usually dream much. Guess it’s Cos of my mind racing do you have plans today that you can focus on? Have u tried the cold shower yet?
