I live in nyc. A couple of days ago I have a headache and feel a little dizzy. My throat also feels itchy and dry. But no fever.
Yesterday and the other day, my temperature is 99.6. had the same symptoms. headache, sore throat, itchy dry cough and a little bit tired.
Today my temperature is 100. I feel tired and body starts to ache, sore throat, cough, headache.
Could this be corona virus? I am very scared. I just read a healthy 39 year old woman died from the virus.
Should I get tested? I dont know what to do. Please help me Im losing my mind now. Im scared to die :(

I know there are a lot of cases circulating in NYC but remember that we are still in the season of many colds and flu's. Obviously the only way to know what you have is to get tested. Do you live with anyone else? Anyone who may have been sick or unwell? For the moment, I know it's easy to get the anxiety jitters so I recommend finding something to focus on like you would any other time that you're sick. Put on a funny movie, try to meditate even if it's only for a short time, and talk to someone on the phone if you're feeling scared. I hope you feel better very soon!

thanks for the reply. my son and husband seems fine right now. though my son said he has an itchy throat too.
i read that the first symptoms of coronavirus is sore throat and cough which i have now.
then you will start to have fever and I have low-grade fever as well.
then the last is trouble breathing. and i'm starting to feel it now or maybe it's just my anxiety causing it.
we are running low on testing kits here and they advised to only come when you have trouble breathing. i will wait till tomorrow or couple more days if my symptom doesn't improve or worsen. i am really, really scared.

I’m sorry that you are feeling scared. Big hugs to you. Remember that for all the hospitalizations there are LOTS of people who are recovering at home and doing well. Anxiety can really trick our minds into adding symptoms, I’ve been there many times and know how hard it can be. Sending you lots of positive, healthy vibes.

Best thing to do is call your doctor. They should be able to tell you if you need to get tested or not based on your symptoms. Until then, stay home and isolate yourself just in case.

I've had a sore throat, headache and burning eyes for quite a while now. So far it hasn't turned into anything important, but we'll see. It's possible you have it, but it could be a number of things; try to keep calm.

I should add that one of my favorite YouTubers has the virus and is doing well despite being asthmatic. Most people who get it just feel crappy for a week or two without complication. There are exceptions to everything, but at our age the death rate is .2%. Pretty good odds.

I don't see the point on getting tested if your having mild symptoms. I think going out to get tested puts others at risk. Doctor's advice is only seek treatment when you feel you need medical intervention with breathing. Otherwise quarantine at home. There is no cure so getting tested doesn't benefit you. I dont believe you have corona, more the influenza if anything or maybe a bad Cold. This is also the season for being sick with lots of other things..

Hi Kristine. I bet you’re very scared, we all are. Call your local hotline, 1-888-364-3065, and ask them what you should do next. Let the experts give you the advice. Heres a website I found.

Several weeks ago I had the same symptom. I felt weak, coughing, sore throat, fever, and diarrhea. fever lasted a day then I was just coughing and scratchy throat. My wife came down with the same thing a few days later. Who knows what we had.

Hi, I'm doing good, never been out of the house since the lockdown. I never get tested but so far my symptoms are gone except for a minor itchy throat and stomach ache.
