She actually called and asked if they were taking temps and they said they weren't. Just asking questions regarding screening for covid. However as we know with ocd/anxiety we love the what it's...what if they still do? What if that person didn't know...etc...etc...

Just typical of that, relief, then what ifs...you can actually see it coming even if you get the answer you want.

Well I went...all seems well in general...

My wife had a physical exam, does anyone find themselves having anxiety for spouse upon waiting results?

One of things she had was pap smear. The doc said everything looked ok in that area. Do docs have an idea of pap smear results just from observing area?

No, pap smears are observed at the cellular level.

If your wife has annual physicals, then she should be getting a pap smear every year. Its very common to get and actually recommended to get one every year to catch cervical cancer as early as possible.

My wife gets one every year.

EDIT:

Congrats on going to the doc with the wife! I know it was hard to do so, but I am sure your wife was really grateful you did it.

You know it's funny. She told doc lady she got one every year. Woman said she, should only have to get one every 5 years unless something was iffy on one of the tests. I looked online and it says every 3 to 5 years so maybe my wife was right on how often since you said every year.

Depends on the doctor I guess, insurance usually covers the pap smear in the annual physical and its a very quick procedure. I personally don't see anything wrong with getting it done every year... if the insurance covers it, why not... right?

They have changed the recommendations in the last few years. You should still get an exam every year, but paps can be done less frequently. It is because testing every year finds questionable results more often that, after follow up, are found to be normal. Over testing can be as bad as not testing enough depending on the situation.

Will here I sit in the hospital with my wife waiting for her to give birth. She was admitted early after a check up due to high BP, so they think its best to start process.

Baby was born via c section in a last minute decision due to baby heartbeat. Baby came out very healthy and perfect according to docs.

Momma is not feeling well due to magnesium because of blood pressure making her feel weak, strange, and just not well. They are doing a lung xray to make sure all is well due to some oxygen findings however she met with a specialist before x ray and said no wheezing was found and all looked well

They said magnesium should be let up even more this evening and should feel better

Needless to say challenging for me with anxiety but im trying!

I have absolutely loved the staff at the hospital...my wife has been very anxious throughout entire thing, even during pregnancy her anxiety has intensified and I sympathize with her.

Her oxygen levels have been low especially when laying down/sleeping(that's what she's been doing). She has been told it is improving throughout the day. She started having bad anxiety this evening ...when finally more comfortable and sleeping, the doc walks in at 1am to check her lungs and oxygen, she wakes up with all this going on, doc says oxygen is low, checks her lungs and says they aren't expanding like they should....this hammers her all at once, we all know how she felt...and it made me frustrated

None the less even though the doc showed concern because the lungs weren't expanding like they should and oxygen was low...shr said it would all be ok, possibly asthma or sleep apnea. They will treat her with something to open her lungs tomorrow.
