My fiancee works for a residential cleaning service, and she hasn't been without work at all throughout the ongoing pandemic. I'm personally not worried about COVID-19 though. Never have been as long as it's been going on. I don't do things that would blatantly put me at risk of contracting it, but I'm also not worried about it if I do happen to get it.
My brother was down last night. He has worked since day 1. That been March here. He is fine. Some jobs are far different than other jobs. In some places the workers are tightly packed in together. Other places they have their space. Even though my brother would have his space in work, he still wears protective gear.
My husband has still been working since all of this started. He even travels to three different states on a weekly basis. I’ve honestly not worried that much about it.
Im going back to work in two weeks and im really nervous. Im a optician at a eye dr office so i see a bunch of people every day. Im more nervous about having to touch these people frames that sit on there face and how am i gonna clean every frame that they try on. The owner of the business is not taking it very serious and bought one bottle of cleaner and sanitizer and said that will be enough. I have to young kids at home im worried about them as well as myself
Forgot to mention my oldest brother works in a hospital. Not seen him in months. Not a place I would like to be working. But so far he has been fine too. Loads of Covid patients in the hospital. His job would not have him near them. Still, have heard of people picking it up in hospitals. Rather him than me.
My husband has also worked since this started. I’ve been able to block it out and not worry too much on that part even though he interacts with multiple/new people on a daily basis.
