So a bit of TMI in this post but I will try and keep it as low key as possible.
I have long standing stomach and bowel issues, lots of reflux, IBS etc. I've been putting off a colonoscopy for about five years now.
The past few weeks I've been having occasional bouts of black flecks in my stool (mostly when I wipe). There are about the size of a fleck of ground black pepper and kind of the same consistency too, though I've had one or two that looked like a single coffee ground. My stools have also had a lighter color and have been loose and mucousy.
Tonight I had an accident. No prior warning, thought I had to pass gas and made a small mess, apparently I had some diarrhea. Again I had those small pepper like flecks when I wiped. I'm really worried those flecks are dried blood and I've got bowel cancer. I'm 31 and have a 7 year old son and a daughter on the way so this one really has me worried.
Anyone else had black flecks like that? The other can be chalked up to long standing IBS but the overall picture now is starting to worry me.
