Hello friends
Just asking what hobbies keep you busy.

For my I'm a jujitsu guy, but that is not my hobby.
I love metal detecting and finding things that are below us everyday.
Beside that reading the Bible and researching uncaught serial killers.

I like flight sims, and pretending that I TOTALLY could fly an F-16 for real if I had to.
Always wanted to try metal detecting, ever found anything interesting?

That's was me when I was a kid, playing Jane's Fighters Anthology on PC.

I'll list them, in no particular order:

1) Software development (personal as well as professional)
2) Tinkering with electronics in general
3) Detailing our vehicles
4) Reading
5) Producing music (making beats and writing/recording)
6) Playing guitar
7) Watching movies (this one is intentionally last because I don't do it often)

Awesome game! Now I'm into DCS and IL-2 Sturmovik. The new Microsoft flight sim looks beautiful, but I've been reluctant to buy it cos you can't blow stuff up.

I go to classical music concerts. 200 a year before covid. I used to play chess, but chess night was $10 Boston Symphony night. You get rush tickets for only $10 if you wait in line for an hour. I can't resist that deal!

I make model ships. I have in my collection Captain Cook's HMS. Endeavour, The HMS. Bounty. and a Spanish man-o-war. I have just completed the RMS. Titanic and and am now working on the German battleship Bismarck. The models are large. The Bismarck is over a yard long. They take up to a year to complete, but I regard them as therapeutic. It certainly keeps the mind busy.

I’m really into cars, both working on my actual car and collecting models. I hope to get a second “fun” car soon to drive on the weekends and fix up. I’d enjoy a 2000 Ford Thunderbird or a ‘97 Jaguar XK8. Both super fast and classy cars!

I also enjoy Lego sets. The step by step process and the final product always makes me happy and passes the time. My latest and favorite build is the Home Alone house. Just in time for Christmas :)

What are your main topics/genres of interest?
Ancient history (especially greece and rome), mythology, philosophy, psychology and sci fi. I'm particularly interested in crossovers, so how ancient history influenced today's thought in philosophy for example, or how mythology has been used in psychology.
