Got another chunk done today. Happy with the amount I done. More than expected. Though the top part is hardest. More to do with the colours used. All look the same to me. No English writing. Makes it even harder. Might be banging my head off a wall yet.

I spent most of the day making a giant pot of pozole, a kind of Mexican soup made with braised pork shoulder. There's a bunch of ways to make it, and I decided on the slowest because this is the time for that sort of thing. I took some time out in the middle of the day to get groceries, partially because I realized I needed an ingredient I didn't have. Good timing, the store was almost deserted but for the stockers and the checkstand folks. Brought a bandanna with me because I promised my wife I'd wear one if I had to wait in line. Family loved the pozole, even after they saw me boiling the dried ancho peppers (enough dilution and the heat isn't so bad - plus anchos are pretty tame).

Some early morning shopping. Best time to go as the place does be empty. Seems the jigsaw I am doing has missing pieces. Not a lot I can do about that one. You reach a point and can tell the pieces are not there. Was one somebody gave me. Main reason I stir clear of ones like that as a rule. Somebody had owned it before. Now I will go bang my head off a wall @Freckles :p

Today, I found out that Capcom wants to remake Resident Evil 4. It's only 15 years old.

Why? Well, because they're money grabbers.

Somebody still has to do the shopping here. Was out a lot today. Even bought an electric blanket for my bed. One on the bed was always far too small. Then turned the mattress over. Worth doing. As after so many years the mattress can become horrible to sleep on. Turning it over you are using an untouched part of it. Finding things to keep me busy. Can you tell I have ran out of jigsaws. :p

The wife and I cleared out our junk drawers on our bedside tables; the ones that accumulate all the knickknacks and trinkets over the years. She has a rule for keeping things which goes something like, you have to have either used it within the past 6 months, or when you touch it it brings you joy. It was a pretty good standard. Some of the things I have had since around 2004 when I moved into the house, and kept because "maybe it would be useful someday." That day never came, which kind of underscores the error in thinking behind keeping things you don't really need.

Seems my spare time is taken up by shopping at the moment. That is the way it will stay for some time. But managed to get a good bit of reading in as well. Have a book I started that I will finish in quick time. About Gangland Ireland. We do have such a thing over here. Only by law you can't name their real names until they are convicted of something. So the newspapers made up names for the main players. The General. The Viper. The Monk. Normal silly names. Just something I like reading about. The amount of hits here in Dublin alone would frighten anybody. Various gangs taken out other gang members. Never many arrests. Think the police are happy to see them kill each other. When I finish this book I have another one on the same subject. This one is more based around one family and their cartel. Last one I read was about a feud in Limerick. Working out the connections between all those involved was something else. Killing each other but all related in one way or another. Takes away the picture perfect image of Ireland of the beautiful green fields and hills.

This morning I went out for a run. I lasted about 1.2 miles of nonstop running, which isn't bad considering I haven't been running much since last autumn.

I am getting my exercise in by shopping. Twice today. Once I have my music with me I am happy. Got the front garden done yesterday. So woke up sore. For Ireland our weather has been amazing for this time of year. Bloody shame we have a pandemic going on.

Today, I spent a great deal of time commenting to online forums such as this one. I've enjoyed it. It has made me happy today.

I decided not to go out for a walk or a run around my neighborhood. I felt my body needed a break after running yesterday morning.

All I've done so far today was go to the grocery store to pick up a number of items.

However, the day isn't anywhere near over for me, as it's only about quarter to noon in the time zone that I live in, the Eastern Standard Time Zone.

Shopping first. Then had to pick up medication. Odd way of doing things these days. Ring doctor. Call down but don't enter the building. Recpetionist brings out script. Then to the chemist. 1 at a time allowed in. But I phoned in advance and they had everything ready. All this is not local to where we live. So you can be stopped by the police and asked where you live and what you are doing in this area. Medication is allowed to be picked up and considered an essential journey. Last month everything was dropped off to the house. That has changed now. You can go pick it up yourself.

This morning, I volunteered at the food pantry like I do most Tuesday mornings.

This afternoon, I'll just be commenting to online forums such as this one.

Back in the garden again this afternoon. Lot of heavy cutting to do. Train station at the back of us and the rail owners planted lots of huge things over the years. They grow into our gardens. Was a nice sunny day though.

I couldn't go out for a walk outside even if I wanted to right now because the weather currently where I am is getting sort of nasty. It's raining (although not that hard) and it's also windy.

This week has me running here, there and everywhere. One of those weeks were everything happens together. You just have to go with it. Picking up things in many areas. Medication, pensions, shopping, household bills, bin charges. Add the gardening to that. Still a few days to go and already I am worn out. :p
