Very Odd Lower Back Pain

Yesterday started out as a normal day. I had gone to the gym for the first time in forever on Saturday, my muscles hurt bad on Sunday, and then yesterday I felt fine....until later in the evening when I was cleaning out my closet and I stood up and BAM I had this very small area in my lower back, right above my right butt cheek hurt so bad. It was like something was sitting on the top of my bone. It hurt all night long whenever I bent over or stood up so I gave up and finally went to bed. Well I was hoping the pain would be gone when I woke up this morning but as soon as I stood up there it was again and now it hurts even when I walk! It doesn't hurt at all when I'm sitting down though. Now I'm just freaking out because I've literally never had anything like this before. My first thought is cancer. A couple months ago I was having a lot of pressure/discomfort in my right pelvis and thought maybe I had ovarian cancer, but then the pressure went away for almost 2 months, well now it's back again but it's very light that half the time I don't even think about it.....could this pain be a tumor pressing on my bone??? I'm just so scared and it hurts to walk. It's not like 'I'm in tears' pain but it's definitely uncomfortable! UGH! I never thought age 27 would look like this.....

It sounds to me like you pulled something. It came on suddenly and hurts when you move=muscular. Especially since it happened after you stood up. Heck, sometimes just sneezing is enough to pull a muscle!

It just doesn’t feel like muscle pain. Like earlier today it kind of subsided and I didn’t feel it when I was walking around but then I took a nap and when I woke up and was walking around it came back again. It’s painful, but not excruciating and the entire area is no bigger than the size of a baseball. I’m just so scared right now.

Do you think it could be? I mean, for example, when I’m laying down in bed and sit up, I feel nothing. But once I stand up and walk or bend over and back up I feel it just in that one spot.

Well unfortunately I don’t think it’s my sciatic nerve ....believe me I wish I could blame it on that but my boyfriend told me that when his dad has problems with his sciatic he can barely move! I can walk just fine, but man it is sore and painful in just that be area. It goes away at times and other times, like right now, it hurts really bad when I walk or stand. It literally feels like a ball sitting on my bone....and in my anxious mind that means it’s cancerous. Ugh! I hate how it just popped out of nowhere and my chiropractor still isn’t open!

So I’ve been awake for about 3 hours now and when I woke up my back didn’t really hurt that bad, honestly I was happy because i thought that the pain went away....well now 3 hours later the pain is BACK! And it hurts! And I’m freaking out! There’s no way that this can be muscular.....

Maybe you slipped a disc in your lower back? That can cause sciatica pain but not always super intense.

It’s a possibility I guess, but I can walk just fine. Actually today the pain wasn’t so noticeable, but I’m still freaked out about ovarian cancer, especially since I feel more pressure in my pelvis today. Ugh....hate anxiety, especially when new things a I’ve never had before pop up. I scheduled an appointment for the chiropractor tomorrow so hopefully that will help. I was going every week and then COVID hit so I haven’t been since early March. Hoping she can help me understand what this is.

I have sciatic nerve pain occasionally, and I can otherwise function just fine as well. My brother has the same problem, though his does sometimes become much more severe. However, he recently found out that he has a pinched nerve in his back as well as a mild bulged disc. What you're experiencing can definitely be related to sciatica.

Any update on this? It sounds almost exactly like what I’m going through
