I am now convinced I have uterine cancer
I have all the symptoms. My symptoms are more watery discharge, abnormal bleeding. Im obese, started my periods at 12 and I still have them at 55. I just had an episode of gushing/flooding blood for about 6 hours. It was just pouring out of me with huge massive clots then nothing but spotting after. I spot between periods. This has been going on for about a year on and off.

I thought this was peri-menopause but I don't thinks so anymore. The watery discharge with the flooding of blood has me so freaked out. I'll am doing is crying all the time. Why can't this just be normal menopause.

WHY CAN'T I JUST BE NORMAL??
I just want to rip my uterus and ovaries out of me

I've had no tests done.
I am terrified of doctors and tests. I think the waiting for test results would kill me. But not knowing is also going to kill me. I am so messed up right now. I feel this is the end for me. If I get tested and have cancer I will die. If I don't get tested I will still die . I can't do this anymore

I had very similar symptoms. I got to the point where I was afraid of bleeding to death. Turned out it was a giant fibroid. Since you haven't hit menopause yet you're still at a normal risk for them. They're almost always benign but they can cause horrible symptoms.

I know how scared you are. I had to have tests done recently. Can you take a family member with you to the gynecologist? They may not allow because of Covid but bring them along anyway.

There is no such thing as a normal menopause. I don’t know one person who’s period just stopped and never came back. I’m 51 and all my friends who have been thru it had different issues, different cycles, different whacky things that happened. I had a flooding period so bad last month I had to leave work and change. This was after having over a year of much lighter periods than usual, but always about 4 weeks apart. I don’t have any expectations of how my menopause is going to happen, from what I’ve read pretty much anything goes. That’s hard for someone with health anxiety and a brain that over analyzes everything, but I hope to take it in stride when the craziness starts.
I should add that my mom had uterine cancer and it is most common in women past menopause. Her only symptom was bleeding at age 72. She had a hysterectomy followed by radiation and was fine after that.

My mother had these exact symptoms and she called her doctor. Doctor said these are early signs of menopause.

Do you go for regular check-ups? A gyn can check for enlarged uterus and take a biopsy to see if anything is amiss.

So the choices are, be terrified of something that you might not actually have, or get checked out and get the all clear or actively do something about the issue. They may be able to alleviate your fear immediately after talking to the gyn.

no :( I'm sure I have cancer. Everyone I've ever know that went for a test came back bad. There is never a happy ending.
This bleeding is not stopping no good news can come out of this.

Well you know that’s not true since you haven’t actually been examined. There’s no coming to peace with any of it until you ask for help. What other people have had happen in no way has anything to do with you.

Any stomach pains? How often do you have the bleeding?

Hello Always-Scared - I understand your fears completely and totally. I am going through something similar right now, though not with my uterus but with another body part. I am sure I have cancer and am consumed with it 100% of the day. It has taken over my life and I am pretty much non-functional because of this.

What you want to hear more than anything else right now is that you DON'T have uterine cancer, that all is fine down there, it's just menopause. The only way to get that news is to see the doctor, much as you don't want to. Undoubtedly, you are reading lots of message boards and forums about this disease. That's not a good place to be, of course all the people there have it. Those that have had similar symptoms and have had a negative biopsy won't be posting there and you won't hear their side of the story.

I've been through uterine cancer scares (2 biopsies, 2 D&C's) and all were negative. Menopause does very strange things to your body. I've been through it and suffered through years of very wacky periods - bleeding for 2 weeks straight, then nothing for 6 weeks, then 4 days of bleeding, off again for 2 days, back on for 3 weeks, nothing at all was regular at this time, nothing! Fibroids are a very, very common cause of bleeding, especially in peri-menopausal women. And they are much more common than uterine cancer.

While no one here can tell you for sure what you do or don't have we can sit with you and hold your hand while you are going through the wait. So gather up your courage and call the doctor. Once you do this you will feel better knowing the wait will soon be over. On the very slight chance that you do end up with what you don't want, take hope in knowing that when uc is caught early it has an extremely high survival rate.

I had no period between Feb-May. Just got it at the end of May and it's been on and off since. I do have some pain that comes and goes.

This bleeding is never going to stop

I'm so scared! Today I am just spotting red mucusy blood when wiping. I'm just waiting for a flooding to happen anytime. I'm scared to leave my room.

Why do I just have random flooding with clots with no warning at all that only last a couple of hours and then it's back to spotting. In my mind, this can only be cancer.
I don't want any tests I just want to go to the hospital now and get everything taken out NOW!!

Since I had my IUD out 7-8 years ago I had flooding periods with clots that lasted two days and then it’s like the faucet was shut off and my period ended abruptly. Then about a year and a half ago they started getting lighter. Then last month flooding again. Anything goes during perimenopause and the best way to stay on top of things is to have regular exams so your doctor has a baseline to go by and can follow any changes.

Pain as in stomach cramps or where is the pain exactly?
Does the pain feel like a lot of nails stabbing your stomach?

No, just like period cramps and lower back pain. I also have pain in my right hip area
If I don't go to the doctors for this will I just bleed out? There is no end in sight for all this blood. I can no longer leave the house

Always_Scared - Hard as it may seem to do, you need to gather all of your courage and call your doctor. You won't be able to find answers any other way. This may be the hardest part but once you call you will be on your way to finding out what is truly going on and I believe you will feel some relief just knowing that you are moving ahead. As I wrote above, menopause can do very crazy things to your cycle. And fibroids can definitely cause very heavy bleeding and cramping; they are much more common than cancer. One of my co-workers had fibroids and the way she described her bleeding sounds similar to what you are saying, gushing out of her. Make that call tomorrow, you have friends here to help you get through the wait.
