Tumor fear over eye pain and pressure

For a few weeks now I’ve dealt with on and off eye pain and pressure ONLY behind my right eye. The pain isn’t super intense, just very noticeable and nagging me with fear if a tumor. I can’t imagine what else would cause pain and pressure behind just one eye. My husband says it’s probably sinus pressure, but I don’t feel any sinus issues or even headache, and I would think the other eye would be involved too. I’ve heard stories of people going to eye doctors and them seeing a tumor behind the eye, so of course I can’t get that out of my head! Has anyone else felt this before and been ok?!?

I had a client who was an Ophthalmologist and he told me the symptoms of an eye tumor are typically bulging eyes, vision changes, double vision, pupil changes and limited eye movement.

That’s good to know! It’s just super scary to have so much pressure behind one eye.

I have this and it is migraine for me. I just started taking Ubrelevy and they are gone in a short time. They were debilitating for me, my eye would get red and watery and it would feel like I was sticking myself with a hot poker in my eye. Not sure how bad yours are but for me it was migraine.

Hi , have you tried a good lubricating eye drop ? I have ongoing eye pain in my left eye , been to the optometrist who found nothing going on so she sent me to an eye specialist where i had exhaustive tests , also found nothing unusual. My ENT said it wasn't sinus so they all advised me to use Systane lubricating eye drops regularly and it has actually helped !! I have very dry eyes so maybe this is all i needed . BUT , go see the eye doctor before you do anything! They will be the only ones to advise you on the correct course of action .

Check to see if you are unconsciously clenching your jaw or grinding yr teeth. I had this and also numbness. Turns out i was clenching my jaw all the time when fighting off anxiety panic attacks. My massage therapist worked on it and now i can relieve the feeling by pressing on a certain pressure point. I hope this helps a little.

I haven’t tried any eye drops no, mostly because my eyes don’t really feel dry? It’s just like a pain behind the right eye. At first it was pressure and kind of dull ache, but today it has started feeling like waves of sharp pain. My husband is actually a licensed optician, just not working as one currently. He’s starting to get concerned about it and is making me an appt next week. He has seen people come in for eye exams and discovered tumors behind the eye…..of course that 100% freaks me out.

hmmm….i don’t feel like I am? But not sure what to do if I am doing it knowingly? What’s the pressure point you press on? My right eye is really hurting and has been even worse today with sharper pains. How did yours feel? Was it one eye?

So did you feel like you had a headache along with it though? Because I don’t have a headache….it’s just my eye. Sometimes I don’t feel it much at all, other times like today, it feels constant. Constant irritation and pressure and occasionally a little sharp twinge here or there. But always just behind the right eye. I have an eye appt tomorrow morning!

Well, yes it is a headache I guess but only in my eye. Mine were extremely painful, my eye would water and my face on that side would get really red. Always on the same eye, not in the forehead maybe in my face some too but just primarily focused on my eye.

Ok gotcha….When I was reading I heard about cluster headaches, and they said those could actually be on one said of the head/eye, cause the red and watery eyes, etc. But I’m not experiencing anything outward with the eye. No watering or redness or anything like that. Just lots of pressure behind the eye, feels really full or something.
