I feel a bit low all I hear on the news is death death deaths I mean it’s bad enough in lockdown no social life to give positive thinking but it’s got me depressed about the options there being nothing/some how watch down on people or reincarnation. The last is my favoured option but extended life would be better I mean they talk about possible downloading the mind into an android they see to see this as the future. Question is will it come reality in the future? The pandemic will likely delay research on life extension.

The news is just so bloody depressing at the moment. Not worth even watching.

As for the future? I doubt in our lifetime there will be any sort of advancement in all this extending of life and taking the brain and wiring it up to some computer. Long way to go before that will become a reality. They have some amazing things. Just not that good as of yet. Be all about how to keep a brain alive? Have to wire it to something that could mimic the living body. That alone would be hard to invent. There is still so much of the mind they don't understand. I have yet to even hear of a brain transplant. You know. Somebody is about to die. No saving the person. Nothing to lose. Take the brain and try and keep it working. It is such a complex thing. Maybe your great grandkids might live in a world were all this is possible.

As for extending life itself? How long we live for. I do think that is possible. To stop the genes from aging so quickly. It is something they have been looking at over the past while. Trying to see if they can find any one gene that has to do with aging. But it is other parts of the body that begin to break down too. You would need to find a way to slow all that down too.

It would be some operation. As the other body would have to be in full working order. If we are to be real about this, the person who they get the body from would have had to have died in order for them to use the body. If you get what I mean. So it would be all about how to get a dead body working again. Would have to be done fast if it could be done at all. Maybe have the other body cut open and use a mechanical heart or even a pig's heart. How do you stop a dead body from losing all its working functions? The heart stops and so would everything else. Liver and kidneys could be used. If that could even be done with the head, you would imagine they could keep the old body alive using some form of made up heart. So no need for a head transplant. Mechanical heart. Old head on a younger body would mean the head would still age quicker. Things that could go wrong with the brain in older people would still happen.

Thanks maybe some hope for the future with technology improving.

I have a general anxiety about my health worry about getting ill? I’ve been very conscious of it lately my fear is one day you can be fine then have a heart attack? Perhaps it’s rare but the risk seems real?

if the news is stressing you out try not to watch it. we all feel trapped we cant go out of our homes which we cannot control but we can use technology to communicate. in my opinion it is not the same as physically seeing someone but it is the only thing that we can do right now plus in my opinion it makes me feel better knowing that i can still talk to my friends plus using communication skills -which i need to do more on

Something would have to bring the heart attack on. You don't go from healthy to heart attack. Without a reason.
