I usually live in the US but spend the summer with my family in Spain, where I am originally from. Living abroad has pros and cons. Whenever I come back, it is hard. My parents are getting old, they have health issues, I have 2 sisters who need a lot of support, 2 kids, a husband, etc. It has been a hard summer. Anyway, since I have been back in Spain I have already had like 3 episodes of bad diarrhea. I think one was a stomach bug, but not the other 2. In my family, we have antecedents of Colon Cancer, but never before the age of 65 (just turned 40). I went to the doctor in Spain and they said I should see my family doctor to get some tests done. Of course, I freaked out! I suffer from Health Anxiety: diagnosed and medicated, going to therapy, but still... Anyone else?? suggestions?

stomach issues tend to really show themselves when you have anxiety especially if its about your stomach. Only thing you can really do to help is make it a priority to see your doctor and get the answers you need to hear

I recently used medical transport services callthecare.com for stomach issues. The team was professional and responsive, ensuring my comfort and timely arrival at the hospital. Highly recommend for urgent medical needs!
I can relate to your situation. Balancing life between two countries is tough, especially with aging parents and health concerns. I’ve had similar anxiety episodes and frequent health worries too. It's good that you’re seeing your family doctor soon—tests can provide peace of mind. Meanwhile, try to manage stress through deep breathing, mindfulness, or a hobby. Stay hydrated and watch your diet for triggers. Remember, you’re not alone, and it’s okay to seek support from friends, family, or online communities.
