Sharp pains in head

So for the passed month or so I have had this same dull and aching pain on the left side of my head behind my ears and back of my head which eventually turns into a full blown headache. I woke up the last few nights to extreme shooting pain in my head that scares the crap out of me and makes my heart race. I’ve seen the doctors who have done nothing but try to put me on anxiety medicine, which I tried and didn’t like how it made me feel. I told the doctors I just want to know I’m ok and that I don’t have something wrong with my brain. I’m terrified to have a brain tumor or have a brain aneurysm and just drop dead. I’m a young mother of two amazing girls. I don’t know if this is anxiety that is causing this to not go away or it’s the sign of something serious. Help
I would also like to add that this isn’t my first time I have had weird sensations. I’ve been to the hospital twice with chest pains thinking I was having a heart attack or blood clot which turned out to really be nothing. I also have kidney pain from time to time but I think at this point I’m literally hyper focusing on my symptoms and making they last even longer then they should

Hello

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Have the doctors ordered any tests? Have you done any type of neurological test in the doctors office?

I was thinking the same as Danny regarding a neurological exam. A 5 minute basic exam by the doc would rule out anything serious. Imaging only if the doc were concerned after the exam.

Yes I believe he did do a neurological exam and said that he didn’t see a reason to order a mri or ct

There you go. He wouldn’t risk your health or his reputation/legal risk if he was at all concerned.

That’s what everyone keeps trying to tell me but for some reason I still feel something is wrong. My anxiety is completely out of control. Maybe it’s time to seek out therapy

I think your anxiety could be causing the headaches. I used to get terrible chest pains when I was a kid from anxiety.
