Does anyone take sertraline for anxiety and depression? The brand name is Zoloft. Feel like my mind goes blank occasionally when I’m on it. Don’t like the feeling at all. Does anyone have that experience?

not to bash Zoloft, but I had an adverse reaction to Zoloft, felt like I was 10x worse than I was without. The bad doctor I had at the time kept pushing me to take more and more. Which sent me to the ER. I fired that doctor and went on a search and found a great doctor who pulled me off Zoloft immediately and put me on cymbalta. My life has been so much better I can’t even explain. I know Zoloft is a great med for some people, it just wasn’t for me. Even my new doctor was shocked at the results I was explaining to him from Zoloft. If you feel you are in the same boat I was, I highly recommend getting a new doctor and/or new ssri. I was told there are a lot of ssris available and it may take a few tries. I was lucky with cymbalta

This is so true, as with all anxiety and depression meds, as I have found. I've tried Citalopram, Escitalopram, Bupoprion, Cymbalta and Prozac. Only Escitalopram worked as a long-term solution for me, but it lost its effectiveness after about 12 years. I'm about to start taking Amitriptyline. I also use Buspar to help mitigate extreme anxiety and panic attacks.

Yes I am on sertraline. It does seem to help myself, but oddly enough for me I start to feel the side effects of missing a day much sooner then when I was on paxil for many years. Should be the other way around evidently for most people. But who knows maybe my mind has changed as well. But overall felt anxiety Initially like many meds but once it started working it's done it's job I suppose.
