I had my first night, day before yesterday where I got to sleep and I layed down and I just tried to breath. Today was a good day, I kept busy had some moments where I got scared but I calmed myself and remembered all of my affirmations. Did not have the “tickling feeling” at all till I layed down but I was able to put myself to sleep. I feel asleep around 9:30/10 and I woke up in. A complete panic. Felt my body jolt and I woke up frightened (this is normal unfortunately) but I woke up shaking and the feeling was back and I stopped myself from google but is this normal? Is this really part of panic episodes? I was just fine now this feeling is back and in thinking there is something wrong and I’m so tired. I’m a little frustrated, writing this helped a bit but o just want to know has anyone experienced this specifically? This feeling is the worse, feels like my bones are trembling and my spine is weird.

I've written how sleep and panic have gone hand in hand with me...seems more so then others. Plenty of times with anxiety I have woke up shaking and vibrating. Normal.

Vibrations in chest, shakiness are common for me. It’s very scary and troubling. I’m sorry you are experiencing this.

A jolting feeling when waking up in the night followed by panic is very common in anxiety. We need to realise that only our conscious mind is asleep, the unconscious goes on working, hence dreams and so often nightmares. We have no control over this but need to accept it as part of the anxiety process. You stopped yourself from Googling! Well done! That is about the worst thing you could have done. I am never surprised by any effect anxiety can have. After nearly forty years of dealing with it I still find new symptoms coming up in people. Anxiety's tricks are endless, and so often frightening. Buti if you have been checked out and told it's nerves, then begin to accept it all. If you wake up in a panic, let it come. Never run away adding panic to panic. It will always die down, it must because there is a limit to the amount of adrenaline we have at any one moment. What you describe is perfectly normal when you are in a fearful state. Just lay there, take deep breaths and accept it all. Easy? Oh no, but it can be done given the will.
