Does anyone else get incidents of scalp tenderness? I don’t have a headache and I’ve had my hair loose all day. But I just touched the top of my head to the top right and when I move my fingers around, it feels sore, sort of bruised and tender. And no I have not bumped my head against anything lately. This happens from time to time.
anyone else experience this? Thx

Yes, I have experienced this also. Usually It leaves when I take a shower or leaves after a few days.

Yes and I have no idea what it is.

I am a licensed cosmetologist, still have no idea.

What I do know is, its nothing to worry about.

Is it possible that the soreness is from tensed up cranial muscles from anxiety? These muscles and all muscles through the body, especially the head, neck, and trunk are all subject to constant tension from the overwhelmed sympathetic nervous system. It stands to reason that they will complain from all the stress they are under. Muscles overworked during exercise get sore, seems that would also be the case here.

Scalp tenderness is usually caused from tension headaches and migraines. I have it most of the time. I went to neurologist did an mri and the dr. told me our scalp tend to feel tender and sore when we are stressed or lack of sleep and it’s very common and harmless.

Ive noticed sensations in my hair/scalp that seem unexplainable. I shave my head and used to think when it grew back it would be uncomfortable. Ive also had the crawling sensations.

But on only one side? Head on right upper scalp feels bruised when I touch it. Once again haven’t hit my head on anything. Admittedly v stressed about Omicron increasing spread.
But why on just one side? :(
P.S. hope to get see a neurologist soon because of other symptoms too, referral has been sent in.

Mine is usually only on one side or in one spot. Last night and today it’s on the upper left side. Feels bruised or his skin feels when a pimple is forming.

I’ve had this for the first time this weekend. I’ve had what others say is a tension headache, so this makes sense! Sometimes it’s in one spot, sometimes it’s all over!
