I'm 30 M. I have never experienced anything like this before.

Basically, around 3 weeks ago, I started feeling the inner corner of my left eyelid twitching. I didn't give it much attention because I thought I was just tired.

But it persisted for days and then moved to the right side (left hasn't been twitching anymore, I think).

I think the eyelid twitching went away for five days and I tried to forget about it.

But lo and behold, it returned after that and has persisted up to this day. Basically, it happens especially when I sit still and type in front of my computer.

I mean, I've been working in front of a computer for sooooo many years and had sleep issues for the past years or so, but I've never had this problem.

I don't drink caffeine, or don't feel tired in general. Just this annoying twitching in the eyelid. I'm terrified of neurological problems, MS, ALS, and other stuff. :(

Most of us on here have that. In fact I asked my eye doc about it about a year ago. He seemed to not really care. Started as my eyelids and now it's spasms all over. Just nerves and anxiety

I get eye twitches that come and go. I work on a computer a lot, and I’ve even had it last for a month or so. At my highest anxiety point I was twitching all over and was having jerks and stuff while sitting at my computer and upon waking. It all went away when the anxiety and stress went away.

I ALWAYS get that. Especially when I’m over stressed. The more I think about it, the more it happens. You’re fine, don’t worry!

Thank you. DO you still get the twitching sometimes? I'm just worried this came out of the blue.

That's good to know. I hope it will go away with mine soon too.

Thank you for the response. Have you talked to a doctor about it?

Its ussually eye strain. We focus on things which make them more chronic.

This happened to me off and on for YEARS. It’s all stress-related - I never even mention it in my list of ailments I share with my drs. It eventually goes away and comes back when I’m anxious.

Do not worry!!! Mine twitched every day for months! on and off- but since spring.. recently stopped but i even emailed my neurologist (I have one for migraines) It's so common- try magnesium.. could be stress, sleep, caffeine and eye strain. So common- even I don't overly worry.

THank you all for your reply. It's amazing how twitching is so common in this community. :(

Perhaps your body is starting to react to the pressure of being in front of a computer so often, obtain consultation from an optician, they can let you know why that happens. I do not think it is too much to worry about. Sometimes the body does react straight away but over time, things start to effect body as they didnt before.
