Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has dealt with rib cage pain before. I have trouble laying on the side that my rib hurts on. I dont think I did anything to it, and honestly it only really bothers me at rest.

During say a workout or something I dont notice it. I am concerned and worried it is an enlarged organ of some kind. However, the pain always feels as if on the rib cage. Like if I touch the rib cage it is tender, I feel like if it was an organ it would be deeper no?

Mind is racing right now!

I've had the same thing for a few years now really. For me is the left side bottom or floating ribs towards the back. as of recently I've been pocking and pocking and making everything worse. But I think aches and pains come and go, some stick around longer. Some are really mild or almost none existing but our constant heath anxiety focus makes them feel a lot worse. I think mine started from injuring my back while working out. But now all of the sudden I've decided to make it something more than what it probably is. Darn Google.... Do stretches maybe some warm bath with epsom salts. Etc.

I will have to see. It is weird so I have been working out hard for about a month. Trying to lose a fair amount of weight (100lbs) to be exact. Seriously trying to get in shape and loving it.

Also my left side near underarm feels heavier than the right side. Its a hard thing to explain.

Currently I am scheduled to have a Ultrasound of my abdomen to just make sure all the organs are good.

Then I guess I will kove forward with other things. I do tend to carry my two toddlers 30+ on the left side regularly. So I am unsure if that also has something to do with it.

Health anxiety is trying to ruin my life.

I feel like so many of us have younger kids or other family that depends on us and that makes us more susceptible to health anxiety.

I didn't have health anxiety until the vaccine popped a lymph node in my collarbone and I started a spiral down the Google hole. It is legit the worst anxiety I have ever experienced. Countless people have told me not to worry but I can't stop and I hate it.

I recall going to the doctor for a lump on my collarbone after my first son was born. In the end, apparently I had broken my collar bone when I was younger (don’t recall doing it) and I’d had the lump/bump my whole life but only discovered it when I was breast feeding and anxious about my newborn.[/QUOTE]

Its unreal, I literally have never dealt with anxiety ti this extent. My marriage is on the rocks, wife is a nurse and thinks that I am crazy.

I read it is common to get a swollen lymph node on the collar bone after the covid vaccine. My pain is more towards the back. But I too went down the google rabbit whole. Starts talking about organs that can make your back ache. Ignoring all other symptoms that should accompany the back pain. It's been a few months and I'm getting better but still have some panicky days. It's insane. I feel you...

Yes, the swollen lymph node thing is a mystery right now, its funny that was my initial stressor but I have long forgotten about it most of the time. And with that it is getting significantly smaller I assume because I really don't feel it there anymore. (It is still there as I check about once a week to see) its this new pain that bothers me, I want it to be muscle related. I want it to be something not organ related and everything you read is organ this organ that.

I have a ultrasound set up, I think because my GP wants to appease my concerns. I asked for a CT and my wife looked at me like I had 40 heads. So he said let me get you an ultrasound

You could never explain this to anyone not experiencing it. It’s illogical and scary but very real.

They also suggest women don’t get mammograms within a few weeks of the vax because an enlarged lymph node can show up and be flagged. Lymph nodes are supposed to swell when the body is fighting a virus, which is pretty much what it’s doing when it is responding to a vaccine. That is totally normal.

Yeah, I am just going on swollen nodes for 2 months which can be very much abnormal. But as it is receding and getting smaller that is usually good signs
