These sensations started yesterday. Feeling short of breath, a strange feeling in my chest which I ultimately believe to be muscular in nature, back pain, etc. They lasted most of yesterday, then last night I felt better and figured it was over. I woke up today feeling fine as well. However, as today has progressed I feel the same as yesterday.
The shortness of breath is that familiar sensation many of us have had, more times than we care to count. It feels like I can't get a satisfying breath. Of course taking a pause and doing some breathing exercises helps, but it returns shortly after I stop the exercises. When I get up and walk around I feel a bit better, but when I try to sit and relax it starts up again. And as usual, that's typical of shortness of breath sensations with anxiety.
The chest weirdness comes and goes, especially when I move certain ways, which leads me to believe it's muscular (not unusual for me). The back pain also occurs at those times, which again indicates a muscle injury/strain. Not a big deal, but when I'm already anxious, that feeling makes things worse.
I'm doing my best to ignore it and go on about my day. I'm not allowing it to keep me from any plans. It does feel uncomfortable, but it's nothing I haven't experienced before, and of course it's not as bad as it has been in the past. Still sucks though. I'm hoping typing this all out will help me to more concretely accept that it's anxiety. Thanks for reading.
