Our necks and most other parts of our body can crack / pop. I would consider it normal. As long as you haven't had any kind of accident or got a blow to that part of your body. Which I assume you didn't. Thus I would consider it to be all normal. If I move my neck as I sit here writing this I can hear sounds like cracking and the likes. More just hear it more in the ears. But is coming from the neck as I turn it. The more we are aware of it, the more we tend to look for it. Chances are it happens another thousand times a day that we are not aware of. Because we are doing other things. Not thinking of it.

I agree completely with @Cuchculan . I also hear this sound often when turning my head. It's nothing to worry about. It's probably due to tension, or otherwise a lack of regular exercise/stretching. I once mentioned to my doctor that most of my bones tend to make noise when I move, and she said I should start exercising. Haha.

100% agree with all above. My popping sound sometimes is loud to the point I’m surprised people near me don’t turn around wondering what that was!
