This happens on and off but it worries me every time. The left side of my face, my left arm and left leg and foot have been numb and/or tingling for the last couple of hours. Is this an anxiety symptom for anyone else?

Yes, very common. I get this often. It's nerve related, IMO.

Thanks for the reply bin. I guess what stresses me is when it lasts as long as it is tonight. No matter how many times it happens, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it

I get tingling and numbness in my left side and face and neck ...often...it is always anxiety related and once I successfully convince myself it is not serious...it goes away. It will probably crop up again during an anxiety flare but I try to keep in mind that it is just my anxiety.

I’ve only had it happen once, many years ago half my face started tingling before boarding a flight, and it certainly freaked me out!

Anxiety affects every part of the body, including the nerves. Anxiety actually is directly connected to the sympathetic nervous system. Dr Claire Weekes explains it in her book, Hope and Help for Your Nerves.

I went through a period of time where the right side of my face, head, ear/inside of ear, part of arm was tingly and numb. I was going crazy.
Couldn’t take it, went to ER, had a CT scan - nothing. Said it was stress.
It still happens time to time for me, and I have to remind myself that I already through this feeling and all was normal.
