Hello! I am new to this forum and I’m so glad I joined. It’s a relief to know I’m not the only one who struggles with HA. I’ve been feeling really anxious today and I’m not sure why. I’m really trying to figure out what’s triggered my HA and how to cope with it. Right now I’m fixated on slight stomach pain. When I’m preoccupied I don’t notice it as much and when I’m asleep I don’t feel a thing. Does this happen to anyone? I feel like my mind is constantly going and I just feel drained today. Hoping tomorrow is a better day!

Hey! And yes all of the time, especially these last two months! Every little feeling I notice intensifies then I’ll do something forget about it then remember it and think “oh it’s gone” then boom there it goes again. It is frustrating!!! But the fact that it goes away when you are occupied shows it’s not anything serious, if it were something it would bother you no matter what! Hope this helps a little!

Thanks so much for replying! I just always worry about stuff like that but I guess that’s part of having HA. I just get tired feeling like this

The best thing to do is distraction. Like you said, when you do other things you don't even know it is there. The more you think about it, the more anxious you become. Which is all normal. So we try and find other things to do. Just so we don't have time to think. To allow the mind to run riot. Never easy. But with some practice you can become a master or Mistress of distraction.

It's common for those with anxiety issues to feel anxious for the day and not really know why, AlwaysHere.

I hope you're calmer today than you were yesterday when you started this thread.

It's great to have you here, AlwaysHere!

Great point! Many people with HA have a hard time distinguishing between real lasting symptoms and their anxiety created symptoms.

I am still finding it hard to figure out what’s real or not! But lately everything I feel is over the top, of I am leaning on my arm or anything I feel like a burning sensation and idk if it’s actually a sensation or overly aware that my arm is pressed against something

I am the same way. It’s pretty easy to know which reoccurring symptoms are due to anxiety but anytime I have a new symptom I drive myself crazy thinking the worst. HA definitely makes us more aware of even normal sensations that others don’t notice at all.
