I’m going to start another bee thread, as my prior concern has shifted a bit. Sorry to keep bothering everyone!
Backstory-headaches and then head pains, going to chiropractor. Went to have a vision test as I felt like my right eye was “off.” Was worried about brain tumor. Eye doctor-thought everything looked fine until I failed the field vision test. Dilated eyes and found my optic nerve was pale. My chiro sent me for imaging. Had a ct with contrast, mri no contrast. No tumors found, no evidence of MS.
My anxiety is currently shifted to my vision. The eye dr mentioned optic neuritis but apparently it’s most common with tumors and MS. Supposedly neither was found. He said to come back in 6 weeks. It’s been 2. When I test my peripheral vision, it’s so much worse on that right eye. It’s bad. Last night I switched my contacts out for my glasses. I actually felt like I could see better. Maybe? My original head pains have decreased but the worsening of vision has me very concerned. Some of you reached out to my other post with some ideas, but wondered if anyone else had experienced this. I know it’s more than “just” anxiety, as I actually failed the field vision test and my optic nerve was looked at by the eye dr. I was thinking about going to an ophthalmologist versus the optometrist I saw. My chiro also referred me to neurology later this month. Should I just go to neuro appt and not the ophthalmologist? Would I need a special eye mri for the optic nerve? Does anyone know if optic neuritis would show on mri? I feel like it has to be some type of missed tumor or a central nervous system disorder, which scares me. I am really worried about losing my vision and how much my life and the life of my family would change! Any thoughts or ideas that I should look into? It’s my impression that optic neuritis would start to improve. I thought I had a day or two of better vision, but definitely not the past few days. Help!

I would honestly just go to the neurologist first to check if anything was up, then the opthalmologist.

I think that’s what I will do. My head pains has pretty much gone away. Got adjusted Monday evening, and then today I started having the pains ahi. Feels like someone is pulling my hair. I’m back to being worried.

My vision definitely gets worse as the day goes, but it’s struggling to begin with. Definitely seems like tunnel vision in that eye. Any type of situation that has bright lights, florescent lights, etc makes it even harder to have visual clarity. This just seems to be more than anxiety? Anyone else with this issue?

I am scared too because I just had an episode where I saw a lot of colored dots and I got up right away in panic to the bathroom, they went away. I thought maybe it was the heater but it is not on. Does anyone get this?
