Back when I was a high school student, I was a player on a Babe Ruth baseball team. I was one of the worst players on the team. And we lost most games.

But the group of players we had were nice kids.

However, towards the end of the season, a new teenager joined the team. This kid was not-so-nice. He constantly talked about guns and violence. He had your typical anti-social personality.

Not long after he joined the team, the coaches decided to remove him from the team.

Some people would say that it wasn't fair to kick this youngster off the team, as he clearly had a lot of problems and needed the help.

However, I agree with what the coaches did. We were a group of good kids. Why should've we had to put up with this youth who was a bad influence?

Besides, I don't think keeping this kid on the team would have helped him anyway. What he needed was professional help, which is something him being on a baseball team couldn't provide him.

Hi MainerMikeBrown. Somewhat similar is a situation we ran into in my AA group. A very angry, obviously mentally unstable guy showed up about a month ago who hadn't attended a meeting in 15 years. One thing he bragged about was how he had gotten a new silencer for his gun. We can not kick anyone out of AA and I even went as far as getting my life insurance policy out, giving it to my wife before the next meeting in case he showed up again. He's been at the last three meetings and actually has settled down more and more each meeting. He actually behaved like a "normal" member at the last meeting, making some solid statements etc.. Now this guy will never be stable but perhaps becoming part of a group might help him. He has no support elsewhere.
It would be interesting to know what ever happened to that kid, if he ever got it together.

Triceps, I don't know whatever happened to the kid. I think he moved out of the area not long after the coaches removed him from the team.
