Negative covid, still worried

I bought an at home covid test for same day delivery yesterday, two tests. My grandma doesn't like to take me so I got it myself. I did the test at home the right way and it said I was negative. I tested because I had been feeling terrible congestion, runny nose. Though it seems to be just allergies. I just worry because of the other things. I have been sneezing an obscene amount of times, sometimes about 15 within the span of 30 minutes, or 5 in 30 seconds or a minute. Now I feel burning in my throat and then seemingly shortness of breath
I don't know what it could be. Now I worry about the test I took, what if it was a false negative? I'd hate to waste another test, it was so expensive. Still. I don't know what to do about it. Not to mention my back hurts from the way I slept. And my eyes feel odd.

Even if you did get covid during your ER visit "not saying you did" which was almost 2 weeks ago you would already be over it by now. Plus you would have already spread it to other people.

You would be showing clear signs of Covid by now if you had it. Just read posts by those who did have it. You are nothing like them.

Grace. You are young and you must get a grip on this. I am not saying it's easy by any means, but effort is needed to come out of this constant spiral of negativity you have.
You do yourself no favours by self testing. As others have said, you would know by now if you had covid. Look back!! Over the years has anything you imagined you had come to anything? Are you going on all your life wondering 'what if'? Have you no other life than this constant worry?

It could just be a regular cold, too. Those germs are still going around, especially now that schools are in session and the weather is getting cooler.

The coughs, cold and flus that we would usually get this time of year are back. We sort of avoided them last year, what with a lot of people being indoors, working from home and schools being shut. To be honest, the symptoms you have - had you had those in 2019, it would have been down as the common cold or winter flu.

Did the right thing getting tested, but now you've come back as negative, it is likely a cold, and treat it as such.

I see. Well everyone I will heed what you say. Gonna treat it as a cold. In a few days I will test again to be certain, and then I might begin the process of getting vaccinated. The thought scares me immensely.. but I would rather worry about that than getting Covid.

My entire family has Covid and has had it for a week and a half. I have been around them the entire time. Sometimes I believe it's not as easy to catch as it may seem. Just use precautions. I haven't and still haven't caught it. It worries me too and most of us. But everyone in my family is recovering fine. Hope that helps. Prayers
