Need advice anxious

So I’ve noticed my thumb is sore And there is a Small bump on it with like a dot in the middle and redness around the bump it hurts to touch too I’m worried it might be a splinter but I’m not sure don’t want to poke it how can you tell if it is a Splinter

At the very least dry disinfecting the area and maybe some Neosporin. If you’re worried about it being a bug or spider bite then you would show other symptoms like color changes, itching, swelling. If it doesn’t get better after a few days, then maybe let a doctor check it out. Usually with splinters, you would remember getting poked.

Thanks I’ve put some antiseptic on it just hoping it heals soon guess i just got worried it might be a splinter and it being stuck in my skin
