So I’ve owned cats all my life and I moved about 7 months ago and I have been having really bad anxiety. I just got a kitten and i have a fear of being allergic to it. Like I’m scared to touch it yet I’ve never beeen allergic before. Help me nothing ever helps.

Ease your mind - buy a bottle of Benadryl (if that’s something that you can take). Play with the cat and if you have a fear you’re having a reaction, the Benadryl should kick it out. I’m lightly allergic to cats, some days I’m better than others, and if I take Claritin (for light allergies) or if I get hives and stuff, I’ll take Benadryl then I won’t have to worry.

You’re probably just anxious to have a new pet. When I brought my kitten home I was sooo anxious that the whole house energy would be off and I got that guilty feeling that I made a mistake! But once you and the kittens personalities mesh, you’ll love it unconditionally :)
