Ciao a tutti

We is supposed to be lockdowned but in fact not really. Trams is still running. Many bars and restaurants now sell dry goods so they can stay open as shops. I guess we Italians are a selfish race and don't like to obey orders. Milano is a big city and army and police can't be everywhere and they like the cafes open too.

There is less persons on the streets but people is still drinking and having parties etc.

The China red Cross sent us medical equipment and doctors but we don't have enough hospitals space.

The news says Italy got most deaths but we don't believe it is more than in China. China has massive population and thousands die every days anyway so I don't think they test them for cause of death if they die at home.

I think we Italians believe in fate or God do if it happens it happens. Many of or old people is overweight and got diabetes and bad heart because they eat too much lovely rich food sure it's healthy but not when you don't exercise. I think old people in Asia is healthier than us because they do exercise and Tai chi.

I think only totalitarian country like China and USA can makes people stay at home here we say ok shoot me for all I care and va fa in culo! (Sorry bad word but I think you know).

Maybe it's why so many people are getting COVID in Italy. All restaurants are closed in my area plus theaters. We've still had 250 cases and 12 deaths.

Here is a picture of what is normally one of the most packed places in Dublin. People and cars in their thousands as a rule.

At most you can go to the local shops. No further. Then back home and that is it for the day. All non essential places are closed. So there is nothing to go out to. Walk around the block for some exercise if you want. The police are in the various areas. They will ask where you are going. Might not be fool proof. From the picture, I have never ever seen that street with nobody on it before in my life.

It's like that in cities here. I keep seeing vids of empty NY and LA streets. I get to go to work a couple of days a week and it's not totally abandoned, but it's slow.
