OK I need to hear from my friends out there ...I am in a rough way ...major anxiety meltdown ...I have pain and numbness in my left side neck and side of face spreading from my upper back ...it started a couple days ago and is getting worse... I took a trip to ER on Friday because I was imagining all sorts of deadly conditions... they did CT scan blood work ...all OK ...but it still is there and feels worse like a tightening in the tendons of my neck and burning even my left eye hurts ....I am panicking ...anyone else had this? I don't want to go back to ER but i am a mess ...help!

Really sounds like a muscle pull, or tension headache. If you were checked, it doesn’t appear to be something serious. What did they tell you at the ER?

Did you workout previously? Do anything that might have caused a muscle pull or strain? Even stretches can cause that

Hey, i dont have the same exact problems, but when im stressed i feel all sort of pains. Shooting pains in arms, legs, head, back.. I have pins and needles in my feet. I get stomach pains,... everything! U name it! I went to doctors several times because i thought it was from my MS. It turned out to be stress (at least for those pains as im in hiv scare right now) But trust your blood works and everything will get back to normal in a few days!

thanks so much for responding to my post ....I am having a very tough day and I appreciate you both for acknowledging my anxiety .....no
particular reason for the pain...it started about 3 days ago as a pressure in the side of my neck and left ear ... not has developed into weird pressure in my neck and upper back ...I just can't relax .... I have had lots of issues with upper back pain ...anxiety related..and I know that but this is a bit different and I am very afraid for some reason and I feel just hopeless that I will ever get past the issues with my anxiety

It’s extremely common to feel what you’re feeling. Hopeless, depression, etc are basically little branches that grow from the anxiety tree. Do you take any medication for this ?

I have been prescribed Lexapro but only take a very small dose....I am so afraid of medication...i have had allergic reactions to many that have even put me in the Er due to anaphilactic shock. I guess I am afraid of so very many things.

Benadryl can help you relax a bit. You should ask your doctor first, but it helped me through some very anxious times

What I would do is this. Since the doctor said that there is nothing wrong after looking at results of very sophisticated tests, I would ask myself this question: "Can I live with the symptoms for a while?"

If you can live with the sensations you are feeling, live with them. If you do that, soon they will dissipate. You know they are not representative of some sinister disease. Live with them. Embrace them! And poof.............they will be gone before you know it.
