Hi, my anxiety has been through the roof the past few months. Just a couple of weeks ago I tested positive for Covid. I had symptoms such as cough (very minimal) , low grade fever, headache, congestion. This was my second Covid since 2022 and It honestly didn’t feel too bad, I felt better after my 5th day. I took the test again on my 8th day and I was negative already phew! However, just couple of days ago I started having cough again and it feels worse and sinus symptoms (stuffy nose, thick green mucus and headache). Of course now I’m wondering what’s going on with me and why I’m having another viral (?) infection just another week later. Has anyone else had this? It’s just so weird that I was starting to feel normal after Covid then something just hit me again. I’m so afraid of having some sort of cancer or auto immune disorder because I feel like my immune is not as good. Last night my headache was so bad I did take 1 tablet of Tylenol and felt better. It is 4 am my time and woke up with a lot of cough and a bit of headache again and now im panicking. I plan on going to urgent care when they open.
As I’m sitting here trying to calm myself down, I recall in the news from last year of someone having bad headache for several days and they passed from it :( So much negative thoughts here and hoping to hear from others to see if they been in this situation before. Thanks !

Have you tested again for Covid? Perhaps you have a sinus infection? Going to have it checked out is good. Let us know. You will be fine.

I had exactly the same thing in October. Had COVID symptoms and positive test. Everything cleared up and 3 weeks later, same thing including a positive test. This strain seems to do this. No it is not cancer or an autoimmune disease. If you went to urgent care, hopefully they figured things out.

Ugh it’s really annoying. The sinus headache is so bad. What’s crazy is I’ve never had sinus before Covid. Thanks for sharing

This winter I’ve had Covid, strep twice and a UTI. I think this has been a really harsh winter for everyone with illnesses. I’ve heard a lot of people being sick much more often than what would be normal for them

I have been sick more often this winter as well. I had a sinus infection which got better after two rounds of antibiotics. UTI, and another go around with sinusitis, which I am experiencing now. Just tested negative for Covid and flu.

Did you go to Urgent Care?
I did not, I ended up feeling more calm the next morning and then feeling a lot better couple of days after. I believe it was just my anxiety acting up once again, thinking of the worst :/ thanks for checking ! But everyone is right, with this new Covid strain you’re sick longer.
My new worry now is having MS *sigh* because I’ve been having muscle or joint pain pretty much everywhere the past few months. My doctor thinks it’s fibromyalgia but I’m actually getting mri to check and starting therapy this week for health anxiety. Hope it works!

Yes I had this. I was so sick with it the first time I thought I was going crazy and it made my anxiety so bad I was in and out of hospital every day for over a week! Then after it got better I started having different symptoms, congestion, mucus, headaches it was awful but Dr told me there's so many viruses going around it's crazy. So prolly ended up catching somthing else soon after. Hope u feel better soon
