Hi everyone, I’m back. It’s been busy for me lately and I’ve got a lot on my mind.

Good news: I’ve landed a new job opportunity in a field which I love :) It’s a contract job for now, however there’s a good chance it will open doors to full-time positions while making double what I used to make.

I’ve had a few expensive setbacks lately. Firstly, my credit card was hacked and I discovered unauthorized transactions which I didn’t make. I had to pay off the card and cancel the account, which has compromised me financially.

I’ve also been without my car (borrowing one from a friend) for almost a week. My car needed over $1000 worth of maintenance. I’m in a serious quandary and losing sleep over whether I keep this car or trade it in for a newer, more reliable car. The economy is a wreck right now and it’s generally not a good time to buy used cars.

Being out of work for car maintenance, doctors appointments, etc. doesn’t make me happy. I’ve had to be out early a couple of times to pick up my car and go to an appointment. I can’t help but think my colleagues and boss are frustrated with me…

The vicious cycle of having to book more PTO and thinking my boss and coworkers are mad at me for doing so, brought on a panic attack yesterday morning. Thankfully I hid out in a vacant office and had my medicine with me.

On top of all that, I am going on a trip that involves flying soon. I’m so stressed about packing, forgetting something, or spending too much money on the trip.

Why did you have to pay for charges you didn't make?

I had to pay my charges on the card, as it was close to the payment due day. Thankfully, I was credited for the fraudulent charges and didn’t have to pay those.
