How about using this thread for posting positive experiences, links to videos that inspire us, picture that create a sense of awe and those little sayings that just make us feel better.

We have so much to be grateful for and what comforts and inspires you may well help someone else? My wife sent me a photo last night via WhatsApp that just affirmed how amazing the world is we live in. I will try and upload this.

I have an interesting theory that has slowly been developing over the last ten days of being on the forum.

I am going to watch this thread with interest to see if it is in fact validated.
I hope I am proven wrong.

Rather strange lately but the thing or things that are uplifting me most at the moment are the birds. Even when it has been a bit chilly, I've been sitting with the window open so I can hear the evensong. It is absolutely beautiful to hear them singing and it is uplifting me. I didn't notice what time it was, it was still light but they suddenly stopped singing and it was all quiet. Then they started again as dusk approached.

I sleep with my window open at night and I am woken up at sunrise when the birds start singing. It is so peaceful to hear them and it is the first thing that I hear every day.

This image took weeks to capture and is a once in a lifetime shot. The moon and sun will not align again for another 112 years.
Wow! What a beautiful picture and an amazing shot! I would have been in awe to have seen it with my own eyes, that would definitely have been uplifting.

This is one of my favourite videos. It emphasizes just how powerful words can be if used properly.

A video of Simon Sinek. worth watching simply for his approach to life. There are also some really valuable tools he discusses that we can apply to our day to day living.

These are all amazing and really inspirational pictures and videos. I have had such a wonderful time going through all of them and learning new things. Sites like this one could always use more of the positive aspects of life rather than all the negative things that we all fight with in our daily efforts to live better lives. Thanks for sharing everyone.

Wow! That was amazing shot! You are right. Sharing uplifting and encouraging words in this time of uncertainty, sorrow, struggles we naycall have at different times-- is wonderful.

I need those kinds of cheering up most days. Otherwise, I look for them deliberately by myself.
And share tgem with my family. Thanks!

If our society would focus more on the wonders of life, science and the universe rather than on reality TV and stop making stupid people famous, then we could establish a future worth living in.

We should support more people like Elon Musk, who is working on making our earth a better place, rather then a Kadashian make up line or a "ho abo tha" girl.

Well said @Rinka but I think this problem is because of the age we live in. We don't have the right perspective of life any more. My fear is that it's getting worse instead of better.

Perhaps it's a nice idea to have more retreats as holidays. Those types with no electric, no Wifi or telephones. That'd do me nicely!
