Years ago, I had my fair share of anxiety issues, to say the least.

But since then, with the help of medication and therapy, I've been able to calm down a lot and be happy most of the time. I'm grateful for that. I really am.

However, even though I'm much more calm these days, I have to admit, it would be nice if I could go through just one day without feeling the unpleasant emotion of anxiety.

Some days of my life are hectic, of course. But their are other days for me that aren't.

Yet even on those easier days, I feel anxious at times, even if it's only for a little bit.

For example, the other day I felt a little nervous for a minute because I almost fell down on a patch of ice. And the day before that, I felt anxious for a short time because I thought I may have had a problem with my car (which, it turned out, their was no problem, fortunately).

So as an individual who is now mostly calm, I still say that it would be nice if, at some point in my life, I could go through a full day without feeling the emotion of anxiety at all...just one day.

I think you're right, Guitarist41.

But it would still be nice if I go through one full day without feeling the emotion of anxiety.

And who can blame me?

absolutely! I remember the first time I took Klonopin... I was afraid to take it before, though I had the pills for probably a year prior. I took it, and was just like “wow! This is what it’s like to feel peaceful”. That’s both uplifting, and sad at the same time.

By wanting to go through just one day without feeling nervous at all, I'm not trying to compare my life with the perfect life. And I'm not trying to whine either.

I just like feeling calm.

I'm glad you understand, Guitarist41. I'm sure lots of people understand and know where I'm coming from.

I can’t imagine going an hour or two without feeling anxiety, never mind a whole day.

If psychotherapy and medication didn't exist, I often wouldn't be able to go through an hour or two without feeling anxiety too, FinneousRex.

I think I’d have a better chance at hitting the lottery then going a whole day without anxiety lol
