Thank you. I looked it up. It's there any techniques for helping with anxiety and stress headaches? That's my main problem now is migraine. I've had one for two days straight now. I've tried ibuprofen but that doesn't even touch the pain. I've tried cold packs on my head as well. Nothing is working.
If you looked up that website you could not have done so for long because you still ask the question 'are there any techniques for helping anxiety'. It's all there if you spend time reading it. It may be difficult for you at this moment to concentrate on reading about anxiety, but there is no other way. Knowledge is a powerful tool in treating anxiety.

Jonathan123 sorry I didn't mean any techniques for anxiety, I ment for stress migraines. I've been suffering with bad bad migraines. I've had one for 3 days now. It's been so bad I've been in hospital 2 more times. Today actually. I feel like I'm falling so deep into it. That I can't excape. The pain in my head is so bad. I get these horrible shocks that go threw my head along with my migraines. I did read that headaches are common with anxiety. It's just so hard to keep going when your in so much pain constantly. But I am still trying.

Did you and the ER doctor discuss anxiety?

Are there any impediments to you making an appointment with a mental health professional?

Hello, he talked a little about it just that he thinks that's what is wrong with me. Cause it's so bad I'm on the verge of losing my job, and going crazy. As soon as I woke up this morning, headache, fast heart pounding pain everywhere, feeling of not even being real or anything around me, constant thoughts about death. Such a bad depressed feeling. Like I'm never going to beat this. It's taking my life over. I feel like literal death. And no I would love to talk to a counselor right now. I think my life depends on it or I'ma go crazy.

Shay, in the past I have had a nonstop headache for weeks. It’s a vicious cycle because you fear the pain and it’s effects as well as questioning the cause. But as long as you freak out about it, the longer your muscles in the neck, shoulders and other places will stay tightened. Tight neck muscles will wrap upwards to the temple, back of the head and forehead as well as other places. It’s all connected.

Mine finally went away when I understood this headache-muscle-anxiety connection. I also got a few massages over that timeframe, used ice and heat on and off and took relaxing very warm baths.

This too will pass.

That's good news, because now you know you don't have a heart condition or whatever you might have been worrying about. That doesn't diminish your struggles with your mental health, because they're just as real as any physical condition. But I'd think you can find some relief in knowing that your physical symptoms aren't an encroaching heart attack or something like that.

Cause it's so bad I'm on the verge of losing my job, and going crazy.
If a psychologist gives you a diagnosis for an anxiety condition and a doctor's note saying you'll need time off intermittently because of your anxiety condition, would your job accommodate that?

Why not make that psychologist appointment now? If it's a matter of insurance, ask your insurance provider for a list of psychologists in your area who are part of their network? If your employer has an employee assistance program, the program might be able to connect you with a certain amount of free or discounted appointments.

Hello, I have missed so much work already I don't know if they would like me taking any time off. I don't know if I could afford it. It's sad when u really need time off u can't even do it. I was in hospital last night and the DR was so rude! He said I'ma give you fluids and send you home. Because I had been there twice already this week. But I literally feel like I'm dying. I haven't ate in a week! My head is hurting so bad! My stomach to. Is it normal to not eat when your this stressed out? I can't even stand the smell of food.

Yes that’s part of anxiety or depression. In the US ER doctors have a saying: GOMER which stands for Get Out of My Emergency Room”. That seems to be the message you got yesterday. They wouldn’t turn you away if ANY of their testing suggested the possibility of a non-anxiety cause for your symptoms.

hey, im in a similar situation where the feeling of dread comes and goes but im getting better at it. What helps me is to try and understand the thoughts and where they are coming from. I Highly recommend watching mental health advocates youtube channels such as youtubers lavendaire and kati Morton who give great advice on anxiety and depression. Maybe give that a try.

It feels good when you have more control of your thoughts than before. Acknowledgement is key when working through the negative thoughts as if you can't put how you feel into words, it will make it more challenging to heal from.
Also knowing that the feelings are temporary. and will pass! it can't hurt you! crying is a great outlet or journalling. My psychologist said that we must calm our body down before we can do anything else.
just keep taking care of yourself (the basic needs) and things will eventually go back to normal and know that you are trying you best.

Thank you for your kind words. I've been suffering so bad lately I think I may have COVID or something on top of my anxiety and it's really making me sick and loopy. And all my muscles hurt and my stomach, I'm so nauseous my head hurts really bad even my jaws, it's crazy. Ive made myself scared to even go out and drive around. I have a panic attack every time. I'm been listening to Claire weeks on audible and it helps at times. I just hate being this sick. It's scary. I've lost 13lbs this week cause I can't eat without getting sick.
