so i am currently babysitting this three year old and she was all over me and my phone today. she also had accidentally spit on me. at one point her sister punched her and she demanded i go give her some advil kids stuff for like cold and flu relief bc that’s what mommy said and we had to do it with the syringe. obviously i told her no. then while we were playing in her room she tells me she didn’t go to school on friday bc she was sick which would explain why she knew about the medicine and the syringe. i don’t know what she had but i’m a huge emetophobe and am so scared that i’m going to get whatever she had. someone please make me feel better.

They might have had a cold or flu like symptoms. Those viruses are partly airborne and partly being spread through spit. Depending on your immune system, you might feel some symptoms later, such as a cough or a runny nose. The immune system of a kid is more fragile the the one of a teen aged or adult, therefore we might not get sick, even though the kids did.
Don’t worry too much, it sound just like a cold.

Honestly you kind of run this risk any time you’re around little kids. Daycares, elementary schools, etc. are just filled with nasty germs. But luckily you’re fine and i highly doubt you even get sick. And if you do, you’ll be over it in no time with some rest and meds. :)
