How do I get to the point of, "So it's true. Now what?"

'Cause sometimes when a fear is actually true, I've sometimes gotten to the point of acceptance. This time, I couldn't exactly do that, but I wish I could.

Uh, I won't say the specifics, but the problem here is that I think said fear is a bigger problem than it should be.

Sometimes we can't cope with events that happen and that puts our fear mechanism's into overdrive. You are doing the right thing by telling yourself that the fear is not warranted to the extent that it is.

Why not discuss specifics? I hope you discuss the specifics of the situation with somebody, because that would be the first step in alleviating the fear, simply bringing more awareness and emotional fluidity to the situation.
